...Eh...Maybe. Hard to picture him with blonde hair. As of now I think he'd make a better Batman backup...In fact I may be one of the few (if only) that thinks he fits the character more than Bale.

i want a green arrow film just not the supermax script it sounds bad from the 1st time i read that this had a good chance of being made.
it sounds more like it would suit the punisher than any over comic book hero.
if this film did get made we would'nt see ga in costume for most of the film and if it do great at the box office when they make number 2 will the studio say right dont put him in costume because people like the 1st with out so go the same way as the 1st.
i belive this will be another batman & robin and will make the wb stop making films until they belive they can get a winner

Well the Punisher doesn't have superpowered villains so it wouldn't be AS interesting. Besides, when someone encounters the Punisher they usually die. Not get sent to prison.

And the idea sounds bad just because he won't be in tights for a majority of the film? It will be the next Batman and Robin because of lack of a costume for lack...an hour and 15 minutes?

He wasn't brought up I just remember that years ago when I was young and first going on the internet a lot of people (especially the guy who ran the Green Arrow Fansite who actually helped out Kevin Smith when he was writing his Green Arrow run) really thought he'd make a great choice for Ollie.

I'm not too sold on the idea now but if he could get himself back into shape then maybe I could see it happening.

Plus he's one of the few people I can take seriously with that hat. Him and Denis Leary. And I immediately saw how well Harrelson would work out in a prison setting.

Ollie's not a big guy. Just in really good shape so Harrelson wouldn't need to bulk up or anything.

Oh I know, its just that Woody's gotten noticeably older over the years and he'd have to seriously work at getting to look like Ollie but wouldn't be impossible for him to do it.

What I like about Harrelson is just how much charisma he has. He really is the blonde Robert Downey Jr. If he makes a random cameo in a Green Lantern movie I can see the audience going nuts just like they did for RDJ in The Incredible Hulk. He's just a loveable, charismatic guy and a damn fine actor.

There have been some good picks for GA, so I'll throw in my suggestion:
Kevin McKidd
He has the perfect look of nobility, strength, independence and he looks like he's lived through life enough to know how corrupt and twisted the world can be and that he has reached the limit where he must do something.
Plus he's played an anti-hero as Lucius Vorenus in HBO's ROME, and he played a decent hero (better than all the heroes in HEROES, IMHO) in NBC's JOURNEYMAN.

Yeah, the only thing I really feel that he has in common with Ollie is they're both blonde. I'd like him as Hawkman, Aquaman, or the Martian Manhunter though (ESPECIALLY the Martian Manhunter).

Hey, kind of got this idea from another thread. What does everybody think of Jeri Ryan's Black Canary with Woody Harrelson's Green Arrow?

Obviously he'd have to grow his hair out again back to the "Money Train"/"White Men Can't Jump" look but still. I'm really starting to like the idea of an older Green Arrow, complete with the family and everything. That's something we haven't really seen in comic book movies yet.
