Well we are talking about a change in cast here if it goes from John Stewart to Hal Jordan. That's exactly what it is.

I appreciate you responding directly to my counterpoint, but you are using too many pronouns for me to understand you.

I say: The change in cast was not the cause of various cast-change movies that have failed. You say that we are talking about the cast change, a point on which I agree... then you say:

That's exactly what it is.

????

What's exactly what what is?

Or to be serious: please give specific nouns for "that" and "it."

If your entire statement is that you, TheVileOne and I, GL1 are talking about cast changes then, yes, I would have to agree with you wholeheartedly and perhaps we should just end our discussion here.

Hey guys, here's my new cast:

CAST:

Mark Paul Gosselaar-Hal Jordan/Green Lantern
Maria Menounos-Carol Ferris
Hugo Weaving-Sinestro
Michael Clarke Duncan-Kilowog
Doug Jones-Abin Sur
Sir Ben Kingsley-Abin Sur (voice)
Robert Redford-Alan Scott/Green Lantern (if not, then Harrison Ford)
Frank Oz-Guardians

I know probably in the GL movie, they're probably going to cast some unknown actors and actresses.

As the Green lantern casting issue is taking over some dozens different thread, I'm bumping the "official" one.
Sam Worthington's gonna be the next big thing after the new Terminator and Avatar.
He wouldn't be a bad Hal Jordan to me.

Paul Newman - Alan Scott
Ben Browder - Hal Jordan
Scott Caan - Guy Gardner
Malik Yoba - John Stewart
John Barrowman - Kyle Rayner

Guy Garfner - Sean William Scott

Geoff Johns is pretty much writing what should be the GL movie template in the comics with the Secret Origins storyline.

They should ask Johns to cut back on his DC titles to make him the screenwriter instead.

Johnny:

Excellent casting there.

That's pretty solid casting there, even though I don't care for Sean William Scott.

Thats good because your not supposed to care for Guy Gardner. You are supposed to hate him!

Great choice. He's an amazing actor (and an Aussie). :woot:

I can really see that and great choice. I hope Mr. Berlanti would get in touch with him for the role of Hal Jordan. :D

GL movie doesn't need high quality, high paying movie actors because you need to fill the roles of Hal, Kyle, Guy, and John. And then Sinestro, Carol, Abin Sur, voice for Kilowog, and so on. Payroll is expensive. Quality TV actors should suffice.

How about Jim Caviezel as Sinestro? He's already got the dark hair, just have him grow a mustache and slap some red makeup on him.

Nathon Fillion- Hal Jordan
nathanfillion1.jpg

Completely uninspired choice I know, but at the moment I feel like its the best. Besides the geek cred through Whedon, I do find Fillion to be extremely charismatic on screen with what seems like little effort. I think Hal might need that because I never found him very interesting. He also has the a very similar appearance, deadpan humor, square jaw, fit, broad shoulders, charisma and I feel like his screen presence always puts him at the foreground but never shadows his supporting cast. All the good making of a leading man in general

Omar Epps- John Stewart

First of all, Epps is pretty underrated. I think his run on House he played a fantastic straightman to House. I feel that John is normally portrayed as the level headed by the book glue of the team. He kinda grounds everybody.

Chris Pine- Kyle Rayner

I think Chris Pine is a big up and comer. Star Trek has a lot of buzz behind it. Hes got the boyish, young good looks and plays naive pretty well (Blind Dating, Just My Luck).

Bradley Cooper- Guy Gardner

Cooper played a great confident a-hole in Wedding Crashers and Nip/Tuck minus the fact that he hammed it up a bit. He definitely looks a little more level-headed in Midnight Meat Train. In Failure to Launch he played a slacker best friend, a real chummy goofball. Mix it all up and you can get a pretty good Guy.
