In the forum where this was posted, the source was cited, but no link was posted. Since this came from an established poster on the board with no reason to lie, I believed it. But in light of Antonello Blueberry's doubting, I did go back and try and find the source of the report myself. But after searching on Google, I can't find anything on John Goodman as Kilowog, or on the author of this article. I may have been scammed, though I hope not. I'll try and keep you up-to-date.

Well it certainly sounded more legit than the Seth Green, Justin Long, and David Boreanaz "scoop".

Sorry guys, the John Goodman/Kilowog story is BS. The thread starter over on the forums I got this from responded to requests to provide a link with the death-knell for source credibility: "I found the news on the iMDB forums". Here is the offending thread where this "scoop" originated:

On further research, apparently turned out this is a troll with a history of creating bogus Associated Press articles for various upcoming movies. The thread-starter over there apologised for his naivete in forwarding the story without a properly-linked source, and I must do the same. Sorry for wasting your time, folks.

Well that sucks it looks like the goodman thing is Bs, i wouldnt have mind him as the character. Though i do hope the writers/director/producers are thinking of doing most alien gls as makeup/posthesis effects instead of making them 100% cgi creatures.
