The more I think about it, the more I'm willing to have Sam Worthington play Hal.

James Franco isn't a bad idea. He's a likable candidate for the role.
Handsome, fit, with proven acting skills, in the mid 20s to mid 30s age range.
Other names could be (apart from Gosling) Ben Barnes (aka Prince Caspian) and Sam Worthington (soon to become a star after Terminator and Avatar).
And I suggest Jim Parsons from Big Bang Theory as Tomar Re.

Duhamel remains a great choice, but I also like Jason O'Mara for the role. He is the lead on Life on Mars (US edition) and he has aspects of a young Mel Gibson and of Steve McQueen to him.

hair and body type of people can be easily changed and fixed if the actor is very dedicated to the project. take for example Jake Gyhall(sorry for my spelling) with the prince of perisa film he is currently working on.

and as much as I like Gylenhall...the movie will still suck hard....an actors dedication to a project doesn't mean that project will be successful

yea it could be possible that film will do bad, i was just making the point the way an actor looks one day could easily be changed in a matter of 1-3 months of working out and other stuff.

I could see Duhamel in the role because thats the type of character you could see him playing and he's not a mega star, but not completely unknown either. Well it should be interesting because its november and if there planning for a spring shoot something is bound to be announced sometime this year.

The Ryan Gosling as Hal Jordan rumor was fatal, because now I'm so excited about that possibility, and my expectations of the calibre of actor WB are shooting for to play Hal are now so high, that I'll likely end up being disappointed if/when the role goes to someone else instead.

Does anybody know some soap stars that can play Hal Jordan in the GL film? :gl:

Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones, Brad Pitt, Meg Ryan, Roy Scheider, Mark Hamill, Christian Slater, Marisa Tomei and Kathleen Turner are among many more who started on soaps.

And Alec Baldwin, Martin Sheen, Laurence Fishburne, Ray Liotta, Teri Hatcher, Courteney Cox, Leonard Nimoy and Julianne Moore.

Its not entirely impossible; the biggest question is whether or not Titans becomes a series, which I doubt.

The soap actors these days at least here in the US are terrible.....LOL

Salak I think works a lot better for Sheldon Cooper.
