I always thought Jean Reno could make a good Sinestro, but he might be a little old now. He could probably pull off a nice Abin Sur.
He'd make a good Hammond or Sinestro, as well.I was liking Colm Feore as Abin Sur

I was just talking about Guy Gardner over on the DC Comics boards, and it got me thinking. Should we be thinking of casting Guy Gardner, since he cameos in the first film?
I always thought Michael Rapaport would make a great Guy, the right look, the right voice, everything. But these days Mike's looking like the years are catching up on him.

Yeah, but doesn't this just scream Guy?I'm holding out for him as Lex Luthor. I mean it.I was liking Colm Feore as Abin Sur
The problem with Colm Feore is that he's generally bad luck to sci-fi movies.
Chronicles of Riddick. Paycheck.
That could change easily, they could give him a line, and we see his face briefly as he yells something.
I'll be posting my revised casting choices soon![]()
Unfortunately I believe they are refering to an animated Gl movie that DC is producing. I got pretty excited about that too.
I'm not that worried yet, but I really hope we hear something about this movie soon. I want to see it in 2010, not 2011. We still have the NY comic con coming next weekend that might get some details out there. I think GL has a big panel there if I'm not mistaken.
I don't think WB would ever announce GL AT the convention, but maybe a day or two before in the trades and give more info at the convention. That is my hope, but I'm not holding my breath with WB/DC. IMO, outside of geoff johns books, DC is a mess.
Probably not going to be some huge, revelatory piece, nor is it going to enlighten the world like discovering Dead Sea Scrolls, but I found this to be some exciting news on some level...

Tales of the Black Freighter & Under the Hood DVD Details!

January 30, 2009
Warner Home Video has released the DVD and Blu-ray Disc covers for Watchmen: Tales of the Black Freighter & Under the Hood, coming to stores on March 24. Here is how the studio describes the release:
They're in the book. And on this disc. From the director of Watchmen and 300 come two tales from the celebrated graphic novel that do not appear in the extraordinary Watchmen Theatrical Feature. Tales of the Black Freighter (featuring the voice of 300's Gerard Butler) brings to strikingly animated life the novels richly layered story-within-a-story, a daring pirate saga whose turbulent events may mirror those in the Watchmen's world. Stars from the Watchmen movie team in the amazing live-action/CGI Under the Hood, based on Nite Owl's powerful first-hand account of how the hooded adventurers came into existence. Two fan-essential stories. One place to watch the excitement. Watching the Watchmen begins here.
The DVD and Blu-ray also include the features "Story Within A Story: The Books of Watchmen" and "A First Look at Green Lantern."
I thought wow cool news then started thinking they'll just show what we've already seen on here but i'm stoked anyways
