My guess it would be average height like 5'6-6'10 or something. though i am not a military/pilot person so i dont know the rules on that.

Pardon my question, but this is for all the people advocating Sam Worthington as Hal..........

Are your suggestions just solely based of the fact that he's about to be seen in T:S and Avatar, or have any of you actually seen him in anything?
I've seen Worthington in Macbeth and Rogue and while neither were great movies, Worthington was fine in them. I definitely wouldn't mind him as Hal.

That's cool; at least you've seen him in something and are qualified to form an opinion based off it.

I get the distinct feeling that some of the Worthington for Hal suggestions are merely because he's currently one of those 'flavour of the month' fad actors and his names is everywhere due to his involvement with a couple of high profile movies.

Y'now, One of those names that gets suggested for everything yet very few have actually seen them in anything.

I've always liked Greg Kinnear for Hal Jordan, but he may be getting a little old. Maybe as Alan Scott?

Hal Jordan/Green Lantern: Sam Jaeger
Carol Ferris: Jaime Murray
Sinestro: Hugo Weaving

Under 6'0. When they design fighter cockpits, they base it around a 95th percentile male who is about that height. Anybody taller than that would be very uncomfortable in a cockpit.

That cuz there are so many good picks for Hal, but most of them are too tall to be a test pilot.

He'd be good...like 20 years ago...he's more than 70 years old. Read this:
The way Alan Scott (Pipe), is written in the script, isnt written as a 70 something year old man
They say he is in his 60s and Redford is a very healthy 73 year old guy.
And Redford was a friend of the inspiration for Hal Jordan...

So, 22 votes for Worthington yet only 1 poster (Eddie Dean - thanks for replying, Bro) has confirmed to me that they've actually seen him in anything.

I'll ask again, who here has suggested Worthington for the role and has seen a movie (or tv work) that he features in?

Even then, what did you take from that viewing to make you convinced that he's right for Hal?

You know if you think about it, that's the general idea of an unknown. I think it would be better if you go to the movie to see Green Lantern and not some mega moviestar. He would tend to overshadow the character which is supposed to be the franchise icon.

Pierce Brosnan

I myself personally don't think that Worthington has the right face for Hal Jordan. He may make a better James Bond, though since his looks sort of favor that of Pierce Brosnan. Then again this project may be shot in Australia and Martin Campbell is just coming off a couple of Bond films. You never know.

heres something radically different , eric bana as hal, with gary oldman for sinestro
