Just stop posting about Kyle Williams in the Superbowl Thread to begin with...and you won't see any responses. Give it a shot, see what happens.

If Kyle Williams doesn't fumble, you still lose. :cwink:
u mad?

Yep...and when you hear excuses about not having Gronkowski at 100%...NY lost two TE's for the game completely!

Difference is those Tight Ends were not as important as Gronk, the guy had the second most receptions behind Welker on the team and set the record for receiving yards by a tight end in a season. The Giants only loss was blockers they needed for the run game. Not having Gronk at %100 lost New England the game before it started in my opinion and I'm a big Pats fan.

True, the Pat's offense was built around Gronk more than the Giants was around theirs. But it did still affect their play calling and repertoire of weapons. At the same time, we can't assume that the Giants hadn't prepared an effective defense against Gronk and Hernandez had he been at 100%, either. It looks that the game would still have been pretty even and come down to a few plays near the last minute anyway.

I was watching Inside the NFL last night, hearing Belichick say, let them throw it to Manningham or Pascoe.

I mean what else was he going to say?

But still, a play later, comes the catch to Manningham.

That's what happens when you have a good array of deep threats...they can't double everyone so you force them to choose...and in this case, 'door #3' was no pushover. Manningham came up with some big catches this year especially in the endzone. He may not be as explosive as the others, but just as dependable, and Eli couldn't have thrown a better pass for the big play. It was the right call by Belichick because it took a perfect throw to beat it...unlucky for them, it was.
