I guess in the movie they'll give relationship between Robert and the dog bigger part than it had in the book (only one chapter, though it was very strong and emotional aspect).

I know it's been a while since this topic, but yes, in this case, deer are everything. The original question posed by Abbadon was "Why are there deer in Manhattan?" The signifcance of the deer on the highway is to show that this world is no longer man's domain....

Yes, but my point was that there are no deer in Manhattan. Maybe in the zoo, but you won't ever find deer in the city. Though I guess they could've come from one of the bridges or tunnels, but the film suggests the whole island was quarantined.

I've finished the book, nice read

I loved the last chapter with Robert exploring the new world and it's new society of new race (half-vampires). I hope not just the main idea, but also details like the last chapter will be showed and explained in the movie

I agree I liked that part the best and the other character the one who he let live with him for a while and when he found out she was one of the new race it was a good ending.

Movie might be different you know as the part in the trailer with the Bridge was not in the book at all.

Awww his dog lol. Yeah I did like them two, I hope she is in the film as I liked their parts together in the book and the ending with them.
