Was there ever a sequal to the book? Also I liked the film but was annoyed at the fact that the hybrid vamps were never used AT ALL, I was waiting for that chick to flip and be a vamp. Also I was just waiting for the Ben Cortman say "Neville, come out neville"!!!! Also question in the book weren't they in a coma by day all the time? Even if they were in darkness?

The book doesn't leave any room for a sequel.

I'll admit I was worried when I read of all the changes from the novel. I'll admit I was nervous when some early negative reviews started to surface up online.

Good thing all that was erased from my mind after seeing the movie. It was spectacular.

I'm a huge fan of the book, this movie has a lot of changes, but still keeps the novel's spirit IMO. You really feel for Neville and his situation. Which is an amazing feat considering you aren't inside Neville's head like in the book. All the changes work in the movie's favor.

Will Smith was the biggest surprise for me. He blew me away. The little things, the subtle movements....totally captured Matheson's character of Robert Neville. Just amazing.

Excellent film, surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The ending works for the type of story this film has. The book's ending worked for that version of the story; which is a different take entirely.

Both are great. Solid film.

Disappointing movie. When the movie ended I heard a 'boo' and more than one criticism and I agreed fully. They would have been better off following the book more closely. The whole reason he was a 'legend' was changed, and not for the better. Best I can figure, they changed it so the ending wasn't such a downer.

Stick with the book.

I think the ending in the book fit the story better, and gave far better credence, as well as a twist, to the title 'I Am Legend.'

There was a billboard with the Superman logo and the Batman logo over it. I'm pretty sure thats what I saw.

I saw it , and I thought as a movie it was pretty decent but as an adaptaion it was lacking.

I voted 7 here but on my own personal scale I give it a 3.5 out of 5. Like I said it was pretty good but was still lacking. The vampires and main bad guy should have been more fleshed out and also for cgi they looked pretty crummy. Also am I the only one who HATES the current trend of having the bad guy do nothing more then screech horribly instead of being a bad ass frightening monster (ie 30 days of night, I am Legend etc).
