Removal would be the best. You know what's the worst? YouTube comments. I wish there was an option to turn them off on every video we watch, not just on the videos we upload.
I have stopped scrolling down. I don't need to raise my blood pressure for no reason.

Damn Sam. That is actually pretty embarrassing. Kinda of lowers him in my eyes, not that he cares.

Yes, you might very well play in and win the Superb Owl in 2014. But I am not feeling the Super Bowl anytime soon for ya I am afraid. :D

It's okay, we'll get there one day with Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly. Our 2003 squad wasn't this loaded with potential talent.

Hmmm... I'm gonna have to sleep on this. Still not sure how I feel with the whole Mandarin thing. I really loved the call backs though.

This is an amazing film in a very strange way...it shows Marvel is still willing to take risks, which is always a good thing and an indication that creativity there is still going strong. It's incredible they decided to do something like this instead of playing it safe and going with the usual superhero formula. This is pretty much a post-modern superhero film in a lot of ways. I don't think they should do this with every film, obviously, and this will only work uniquely with RDJ's Tony Stark, but it's very awesome that they can do this kind of stuff. The film is almost like a troll, and it feels like it from the very beginning.

But if you're looking to see the overall structure they will use to tell these stories for decades, this film is the first example of how. It's pretty James Bond-esque in its execution and how it sets up a very stand alone story. At the same time it's very clear this will have repercussions for future films with several elements in it, and not just Tony's decision at the end. This isn't the thread to get into that though.

A 77% on RT is a pretty good rating. Think about that. SEVENTY SEVEN PERCENT! If 100 people watch your movie and 77 of them like it, that is pretty impressive. Pretty much anything from 75% and up in my mind means overall good critical reception. At the same time RT's % is very deceptive. You have a film like THE MASTER that has an 86% which is a very solid rating, but the actual reviews themselves were higher than The Avengers, which has a 93%. A higher percentage of reviewers liked The Avengers, but by average the people who liked The Master felt it was way better than The Avengers. Hence The Avengers 69 on Metacritc and The Master's 85. In the grand scheme of things, none of this matters.

I'm gonna hold off on rating it just yet, but I can already say that it's my least favorite IM film of the bunch. I need some time to let it sink in to really give it a good review (and possibly a second viewing).

It just felt off to me, like a few Iron Man skins were thrown onto a non-MCU action movie. And as for Kingsley, I'm not sure what the fuss was about. I thought he was cheesy and awful. Killian, however, was great.

Lots of humor, lots of good action. Not a lot of good storytelling, though. At least IMO.

Cam is probably the reason you won't be there anytime soon. But for your sake, I hope I am wrong.

That's one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is that they're able to tell any kind of story and genre with these films. While you may not like the style and tone for this one, which is a very off-kilter, quirky comedic story, you might like what they do with Cap and Thor which will probably be more serious.

Just finished this film, still waiting dor the after credits scene. I understand some of the hate, n i do wish tony would have really kikd more ass and been creative with the use of his different armors at the end, but DAMN this film roxxxxssss!!!!! Phase 2 is gna b one hell of a ride, and shane black just is sum knda genious.

I didn't have a problem with the style or tone. I had a problem with the story. Like I said, it felt off, and not in a quirky cool way. Like in a rushed, weak villain kind of way.

Huh, I felt IM3 had a lot more serious tone than IM1 or Avengers.

I don't see why. Cam is the most talented player on our squad. He simply gets too much criticism from the media. Our offensive line, defense, special teams, and coaching were appalling. Cam made his mistakes but he also had a six game stretch where he didn't turn the ball over (longest streak in the season).

Don't agree with that at all. This had almost no serious moments in it...even the moments that should have been serious (in conventional movies) was sprinkled with humor in them.

Just got home from the theater. Loved every minute of it except for
the "clean slate" protocol and the removal of the arc reactor. It takes the weight behind Tony's description of it as a "terrible privilege" away...not to mention the shrapnel being removable discounts half of Iron Man 2's plot.

Saw it, liked it. It's definitely the kind of movie whose pros outweigh its cons.

Pros: Tony- Every scene RDJ's in is the best in the film, with his
"attack" on "Mandarin's" mansion
being a highlight. We see him be a genius on the run, be mentally weak and flawed, and just be a straight-up badass.

The action- While it wasn't as action-heavy as Avengers (I wasn't expecting it to be), the action was intense in all the right places. They were exciting and longer than what the first two had to offer.

The music- Brian Tyler's score was intense, and for once in an IM film, he had a theme I was humming when I left the theater.

The suits- Brief as their appearance might've been, the armors were awesome. That Heartbreaker armor was glorious.

The cons: The ending- No, not the
removal of the shrapnel
, I'm talking about the end of the final battle.
How many movies is it going to take for Marvel to realize that the best way to end a fight between two characters that have been going head to head and have hated each other for an entire movie, is to have the hero defeat the villain. Not the girlfriend, or the best friend. Iron Man has to be the one to take Iron Monger out, not Pepper. Tony Stark should defeat Whiplash, not Rhodey. Now, again, they made the same mistake. I can understand why people might find this to be a nitpick, but come on! Why not have the guy who's been going through hell finally pull it together and put an end to the threat? Same problem with TDKR, except here, he actually could've done something about it. I'm sorry, but I was so let down with that.

Rhodes- Cheadle was great, so this isn't really a complain on him or his character. I was just left wondering where the hell that really nice War Machine Mark 2 was. It was such a nice suit to not include in the film!

Overall, 8/10. Tony's character was extremely well-written. The whole
Mandarin twist
seemed sorta disrespectful at first, but, when
Aldrich comes out with those dragon tattoos and his sick powers
, I totally forgave it honestly. Having Mandarin look like that instead of his original "look" in the film was forgivable in my eyes.

Also, I can't express how much I ****ing hate 3D. I have a stigmatism in my right eye so my depth perception is abysmal, so even when I have 3D glassess on I can't see the 3D and the hit just ends up looking dark and somewhat blurry. So I have to wear my glasses with the 3D glassess they give me in order to watch the movie in 3D. That feels uncomfortable as ****. And it also ****ing hurts my head and makes my eyes burn when watching the movie. And on top of all that, the theaters will not offer the movie in only IMAX, you HAVE to watch it in 3D IMAX or you're stuck with the small crappy screen.

tl;dr **** these studios. I hate how you have to be a perfect person to enjoy **** these days.
