oh man...thats just total ass...maybe with a little work it could be made to look somewhat decent...

Just got my joker goon mask today... a little disappointed. Its flimsy and not like in the movie where they maintain a structured look. Its just a simple rubber halloween mask.

I was gonna order them but not anymore, they like uber-****ty. But I've only seen photos of the Joker's mask, did anyone get the mask of the one that gets killed by the bus driver? Can someone post pics of them, because that's the one I'm more interested in.

Hmmmm my friend ordered two of these last week. Man is he gonna be pissed if they show up like that. Glad I waited till people were posting pictures of them before I shelled out the cash for one. The Joker one is horribly painted and did anyone notice the weird yellow around the eyes?

I think i'll attempt to make my own.

I think I'll use the store bought ones as a base, and work on them. With a little structural hardening and a bit of good solid paint they should work out fine. My problem is at the end of the day I don't have any skills when it comes to molds so I can't really make my own.

there are plenty of things that can be done to a crappy mask to fix it up. even repainting it and adding some structural support would do wonders. also try brotherhood of the bat forum. there is a wealth of info on fixing up and customizing mass produced masks.

Did any of you guys try and order the child's joker goon mask?

It's only $2.99, which makes me think it's a plastic mask, more like the ones in TDK.

From the look of the pictures, the rubber adult masks look HUGE on everyone's heads, so a child actually might fit. Kid's today have massive heads anyway.

Despite the bad quality of these masks, I'm about ready to go ahead and order all of them, or order all of them except the Joker. Considering I'll have a costume at the midnight showing I don't want my friends to look silly NOT having something to wear. HAHA

I ordered the Grumpy mask and modified it a little. I re-did the painting and I'm planning on reinforcing the rest of the mask. Here is some shots of before and after...

You've done a great job there, how did you go about reinforcing the mask and giving it shape (rather than the jelly like mess we get)?

Also, did you remove the first layer of paint and re do it or did you just paint over?

I painted over the first layer of paint. After that I used a picture of the real thing as a reference re-painted the eyes and smile. Up close it still looks rough, but I think its pretty unique and I'm pretty proud of it. The painting I did helped reinforce it for the most part. The stand alone picture looks really good because its on a head model like thing to help me paint it. I still need to reinforce certain parts of it with foam to give it more shape, but it will be done by the end of the week.

Well, the mask isn't much better, I went out and got myself a viral goon mask, for a decent price... I might put the two together or something.
