I guess that would make some sense. Would make for a REALLY cool reveal too. Seems like it might be a little too "mission impossible" for Nolan. Although we are talkin' about a guy who sold me on the viability of Tesla creating a cloning machine for a man to perform magic tricks... so OK...Some people have said that his mask has prosthetic skin and hair.
Things have kind of died down on this thread, so I thought I'd try to spark it a little. I've been reading through the official "Joker thread", back to around the time when the original "ibelieveinharveydenttoo" pic was released. Besides digging up alot of info that turned out not to be right... I found a few mentions of Heath appearing in the Bank scene's WITHOUT makeup BEHIND the mask... and WITH MAKEUP when he finally removes it. I guess that's not news, we've kinda of theorized that already... BUT, if it's entirely obvious that he's not wearing makeup at all when the mask is on (since we can see his eyes) and we are to believe that he will be wearing makeup when he yanks off the mask... WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?!!
Yeah, that's the real issue here... SO many theories. That's what happens when we've got so little evidence to go on. It's fun just to share the ideas and wait and see which one of us is right when it all comes out in the wash... my guess is we're all way off and Nolan has something else entirely planned to fake us all out. That's just how he is.ive thought about this also, but maybe the bank scene took a while to film, so to keep heath comfortable they let him film most of if without makeup, can you imagine having your face painted and wearing a mask, take after take, all the sweat and running paint, and maybe in post production they will digitally enhance his eyes to make it look like hes wearing the makeup, and then they put the makeup on him when they are ready to get him to reveal himself, but the other argument is that why wouldnt they digitally enhance the released picture of him with the mask on, just a theory among theories

And it will still debut number one at the box office and break records... the weekend they don't release it...ya this is all actually Memento Two, the movie is filmed already and has been in the can for four years. He is even doing the filming and editing process all backwards. The twist is that they aren't going to release it
Isn't that the cover of one of those collections of horror short stories from back in the day? I only remember it because I'm a big mark for horror stories! This probably doesn't have anything to do with anything, but I'll thought I'll show becuase it reminds me of the masks.

It's common knowledge by now that Joker and his goons wear clown masks, each represented as one of the seven dwarfs (Happy, Dopey, Grumpy...). As far as we know, the masks are worn during the bank robbery sequence as well as the scene at Bruce Wayne's penthouse.
However, could there be a deeper meaning to the masks? Could they play an important part in the story--even as a symbolic device? Is Joker really permawhite?
In the tradition of SuperHeroHype over-analysis, I present to you...
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: Yet Another BubbaGump Theory Thread (How does he come up with these things??)

Practically everyone has seen or read the story as children, but for those who need refreshing, go no further than Snow White's wiki article.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_White#Story
Now the story proves very interesting. In TDK, the queen can be represented by the Mob or more specifically: Sal Maroni, who is jealous or threatened by Joker's rapid rise through the Gotham underworld (Snow White's beauty).
Wanting to get rid of this threat, Maroni hires someone to kill Joker.

For the sake of continuity, I like all my threads to tie in to each other...
Connect the Dots:

As you can see, Maroni may plant a traitor to kill Heath Ledger (as shown in the link).
However (and this is a big however), in the story, the dwarfs SAVE Snow-White countless times. The Joker's goons may help him out after he gets shot, and would also help him wreak revenge on the mob for scarring him.
Now this is all speculation, but I thought it had some interesting connections. Then again, it could all turn out to just be bogus imaginative thinking and a tendency to overanalyze and butcher things to death brought on by a lack of TDK news.![]()
But the biggest question of all remains...could Joker really be "Snow White" as in...Perma-white?

I picked up one of the books a few months ago to see if the stories still held water. Alas. They weren't the least bit frightening, not like they used to.
All these years though, the pictures are still good. Guy has talent.
