Official Monk Thread

Yeah. The point would be after that, that he get on the police force, & get his life some what back in order. He was always OCD, but when his wife was killed it went to a whole new level, so him closing that chapter. He can finally get his sh** together.

Bump ...

The summer finale or whatever aired last night.

I couldn't figure **** out til the very end. The fake drug deal gone wrong thing I didn't get til Monk did his explanation of events. When that part of the episode was solved. I still didn't get what the big fuss about Maria was. When it was finally revealed why Monk was so fascinated with this woman. I thought it was some deep ****. :csad: But I could've sworn Trudy was killed instantly in the car bombing  But whatever, I liked the episode.

It's also hard to imagine that

her eyes would escape the blast completely undamaged. It was one of the better episodes of the season though.

Damn, thats some powerful love. He noticed her eyes from a momentary meeting.

Great finale.

I just got a chance to watch the episode. It was probably one of the most interesting episodes of any show I've ever watched. I was kind of bored through the first 30 min but kept watching to see what happened.

After the "undercover cop" got killed, that what Monk saw was like a premonition of another crime that was going to happen with the same people but in a different scenario. It was cool how Monk figured it all out.

The part with the taxi driver was very touching. But once you think about it for awhile, it doesn't make sense. Trudy's eyes were probably damaged from the car bomb. And the cornea has nothing distinct about it. Nonetheless it was still nice.

So far the return has been good. The last 2 episodes were pretty good. I loved last night's episode. It had me guessing til the end. These 2 were wayyy better than the Christmas episode. Man was that a pile of failed ****.

I really liked the episode 2 weeks ago. The seatbelt thing was a very clever. This week's was good.

I can't remember the Christmas episode.

Yes I did.

It was alright. Obviously Monk is still alive. Now all he needs to do his gather more evidence & find out who's the mastermind behind this whole thing. Speaking of which, I wonder what provoked the mastermind to all the sudden go after Monk. I mean Monk had nothing to go on other than the 6 finger man. It probably would've been easier to just Jimmy Hoffa the 6 finger guy. Leave Monk @ a dead end. Now Monk's coming for him/her.

I wished Sharona was here.

Last night's episode was good, especially the end. Can't wait for the conclusion.

Im excited for the conclusion, but I find the drama surrounding the ending to be a little much. Obviously Stottlemeyer and Monk has something, although Im more excited to see if Trudy we find out what really happened to Trudy. They have handled revealing it little by little very well.

I think the Lt.Governor has something to do with it. The Sheriff mentioned they were old friends. Maybe he hired the six fingered man to hire Tennyson because Trudy was going to blow the whistle on something that would ruin his political career?

Also, I wish they mentioned Sharona. Its been made clear numerous times in the series that Monk is a famous detective, known as far away as Europe. His arrest would probably be national news. Disher or Stottlemeyer could've at least mentioned Sharona calling instead of acting like she never exisited.

Agreed. The reason for Sharona leaving was half-ass as well. Sharona was much more interesting. They should have made Natalie a nurse and Sharona a regular person instead of vice-versa (the way it is now).

I like Natalie way more than Sharona. Sharona was constantly b*tching

Next week. It's the first of a 2-part finale.

Friday February, 22nd will be the conclusion of the 2 part season finale of Monk & then no more Monk until the new season starts later this year.

Atleast she had a personality :o

BTW I agree, this episode of Monk was teh most bad@$$ this season  When is the next episode?

Agreed. Sharona's frustration towards Monk was far better than Natalie's constant overly dry "Oh no, don't do that Mr.Monk."

Seriously they kept building on Sharona's inability to stay away from her Ex and then a big moment for her was finally walking away from him. Then we come back from one of the season breaks and she all of the sudden decides to leave with him.

Anyways, the season finally has been pretty good so far. I doubt the sheriff is the mastermind, but it'll be interesting to see how he's connected.

So...anyone else disappointed that
Tim Curry wasn't playing The Whale this time? That was kind of a bummer, I thought the guy they had playing him this time was doing a bad impression of Curry. I also don't quite understand how he was going to trade places with Monk. Also, were they going to frame Monk for the death of the Governor? That one seemed like a stretch. I'm guessing the Lt. Governor that the Sheriff knew was somehow in on it. With the Governor gone, he would've taken over. Maybe once the Governor was dead, the Lt. Governor would've pardoned Dale "The Whale"?

Oh and if any of that was covered in the show, I probably missed it cause I wasn't watching the last five minutes.

Actually that sounds about right.
I liked the fact that they mentioned Sharona. They even said she was flying in for the funeral service. They could've at least had Natalie post up pictures of Monk & Sharona.

As for the last 5 minutes that you missed ...

Monk tells Dan, who has lost all special privileges except for the window, that the 6 finger man had letters implicating Dan in the killing of Trudy & a higher man in charge known as the Judge.
