He needs to be Cable until Cable returns in December so powerless and trained to be a soldier it is until then.

I know what you mean as AOA Jean is Nate's Mother and Maddie is Cable's but let's face it on a genetic level they are both Jean therefore they can be Alternates as well as brothers.

No they arent. They have different parents, therefore they have different DNA. They are half brothers via Scott and more like cousins via Maddie and Jean. Jean and Maddie as her clone are more akin to twin sisters. You wouldnt say the child of twin A is the child of twin B. Nope, that would be a niece or nephew with their children being cousins

Genetically, Nate and Nathan are only about as similar as brothers. For one, Cable is a clear foot taller than X-Man. Just because they're both Jean & Scott's kids from alternate timelines, that doesn't mean they're alternates of one another. If they were, then let's start calling Rachel their female alternate.

Really? Why would they do that? I am not a Hope Hater....but Nate does NOT need lessons in powerless combat......

Nathan is Scotts actual son as his from 616 timeline dispite being raised in an alternate time line.

I prefer Nate Grey with his full powers plus shoes. Seeing as his not mutant shaman anymore they should change his look.

I do love Summers me interaction. I prefer Sam as New Mutants leader over Dani.

It intrigues me how someone with a line from A Song of Ice and Fire in his signature can ***** about unfinished storylines / storylines in the process of being told.

I think the shorthand comes more from Nate Grey being the obvious Cable analogue from when Age of Apocalypse happened. Yes, they do not have exactly the same histories, but no one in AoA did. They did all have analogues. So it's more like shorthand, right? I mean, Nate Grey isn't Cable, obviously, but he is the Cable from AoA, considering that's who he was analogous of.

Attribute it to my extreme dislike for Hope. I thought I was finally gonna get to read some stories about the super-powerful X-Man(I wasn't reading comics when he first came around) and they go and nerf him down to bare telepathy.

he really is(was) too damn powerful in order to effectively work on a team, he would have to be watered down...this dude needs no help from anybody to do anything....if written to his full potential..

They usually handicap the superpowerful mutants anyway.

Legion has thousands of mutant powers at his disposal and I'm sure they will neutre him too at some point

I didn't want him on a team for that very reason. Let him hang out on Utopia and protect it from the next horrible threat.

Legion's got a build in handicap though, he can only use certain powers for so long before the personalities take over him.

Dani is starting to be quite boring without powers. its like they are forcing her on us and finding ways to try and make her interesting without them..like giving her those on again off again Valkyrie powers..either keep them or never ever use them
