Just over 35 million to go. Maybe 7-10 more domestic over the rest of it's run if it's lucky. International had only 7 this weekend plus the dailies so probably 7-8 total next week. Hmmmm.

You know, I'm not doubting the importance of international gross. Everyone is paying attention how Spidey 3's worldwide gross ratio is 40/60 rather than 50/50 like the first two. Isn't this a sign that a.) Spider-Man is now a worldwide icon and b.) Spider-Man 3 is a film that pushes the right buttons for more people than its predecessors.

Why would so many people outside the USA go to see this film if it wasn't considered more to their tastes? I've seen foriegn films, and foriegn action films, and they tend to evoke more comedy and emotion throughout their plot trajectories. It seems to me that Spidey 3 is truly the least domesticated of the trilogy--not a bad thing. I saw that asian film "The Host" which was like the asian equivalent of "Jaws"--a classic to them. It was loaded with cheesy humor and drama. That seems to really reflect Spidey 3.

What do you think about this?

Spiderman 3 will possibly make 900M worldwide!!..People should get realistic..Its theatrical run internationally at least ain't ending soon..890M-900M is a given..Pirates 3 will go over 900M..Its sooo obvious cause even though its not moving quick enough domestically, it will DESTROY overseas!!..There's no denying that..It will continue gobbling up overseas revenues till the end of august probably..just like DEAD MAN'S CHEST..The future of Shrek is still at large..Domestically, it seems to be on the run for second place!..It will end up with around 330M but with the upcoming July 4 weekend, it may get an unintended boost that may push it past Spidey domestically..Who knows..Just a possibility..I am just waiting to see how both FANTASTC FOUR:ROTSS, HARRY POTTER 5 & TRANSFORMERS shape up at the box office..One of those flicks is gonna surprise in a massive way!!..I'm just waiting..

Have you ever even seen Fantastic Four 2 Rise of the Silver Surfer?

You honestly don't know if they raped the Surfer story or not. I can understand not wanting to see it because:

1. You hated the first one
2. You don't like comic movies
3. You don't like comics
4. You hate the fantastic four

But to say you don't want to see it because deep in your heart you some how know the comic will be raped. Well that just doesn't make sense.

I hope they don't make a crappy movie but I also hope they don't follow the comic perfectly. I find it boring for a movie to do exactly what the comics already did I like how the movies change some of the things up. As long as it stays true to the character.

Seriously, the fans care about the b.o.; if a movie's blockbuster, then a sequel is a lock but you probably know that.

Not to argue but Spiderman didn't even do that. Not saying you personally but it seems like some people are targetting F42 due to Story's movie history which really isn't right. You are not even giving the movie a chance. Only going by hear say.

Listen, im not un-reasonable. I understand that there is only a certain amount of time to translate these stories onto the big screen. I dont expect a translation to be verbatim.

But at least Sam Raimi told the symbiote story...and included Venom.

Tim Story (according to relieable sources), is telling the Surfer's story...WITHOUT including Galactus. I could care less what Tim Story's movie history is...im talking about what he failed to do with FF in his LAST attempt, and what he is about to do with his SECOND attempt. I mean...Christ, have you guys ever even READ The Galactus Trilogy?

In my opinion, that is complete bull****, and smacks of Fox trying to make a quick buck as cheaply as possible. I think the FF and The Silver Surfer deserve better than that.

Trust; i hope all reports are wrong,and the movie is excellent. I want the movie to succeed as much as you, or Carpman, or anyone else...i just want it to succeed on ALL levels. The FF deserve that.

I've gotta say, I'm with Captain Stacy on this one. I want to see it because it looks "cool", but I hold little or no hope of it being anything more than an overhyped fascimile of a far superior story from far superior story-tellers. My wife loved the first film, so she wants to see this one, and I'll take her because I'm an the top husband in the world, but I seriously doubt that, other than the Ben and Johnny scenes, I will like it very much at all.

Galactus as a stormcloud is probably the worst idea I've ever heard from a Marvel movie....and this includes the final battle in Hulk where he and his daddy turned into a giant bubble.

If given a choice....I'll go see Spidey 3 again...or Knocked Up, as they are my favorite movies of the year, thus far.

The symbiote story was not the complete story in the comics. You can't squeeze the entire Galactus thing into this movie, it's been said he will have his own movie. But to each his own. I'm going to see it 3 times.
