I would prefer Raimi and co but if not then I have no real preferences.

I would love for the Black Cat to make an appearence although I would much prefer the version in TAS as opposed to the comics.

Again, why get rid of them all over Dunst? What has she done that causes you to hate her so much? I garuntee that the next MJ actress will be written the same as Dunst's by unoriginal writers for hire, even if soemone more attractive (MEW being favorite) is cast.

She wasn't the best choice as MJ, but I'm okay with her. She does look a little bored at times in the role, though.

I agree. I don't love her in it, but I don't dislike either. However, I think she needs to come back if Tobey does.

I got the vibe she didn't feel that confident with her role in 3. She wasn't as big a focus as she was in SM1 and 2. I also think she's tired of doing the films in general and all the fan stuff that comes with it . I think She'd only come back out of loyality to Raimi or if the pay check is good imo. Other then that ,I don't think she wants to put up with the Spiderman baggage anymore.
I'd rather they replace Peter and MJ then keep Macguire and get someone new.

You care to explain Harry Potter's various directors? We don't need a big-named directors, just good director, with a really good vision? There are directors out there that can do a better job than Raimi, they don't need to be high-profiled. Sony just has to take the time to find him. That's my point.

Sure. Chris Columbus directed what, two? And no one was really conscious about it. Not exactly big shoes to fill. Sam Raimi's directed a trilogy and had his name and accolades plastered all over Spider-man. It's a big difference.

I totally agree with you, there are tons of better, lower-profile directors out there that Spidey could end up with for 4. Expecting someone like Alfonso Cuaron or James Cameron to step up and start eating Raimi's leftovers, that's what I'm disagreeing with.

Vis seems to be the only one who gets it. Raimi is not the best director out there and believe it or not, there are lesser known directors who are better at their craft than Raimi is and have a better vision for spider-man. Also, like vis said, why do people automatically believe that a new director means hiring a talentless hack? Look at the HP movies, even Camron took over after scott on the Aliens movie....furthermore look at the Bond movies...at least the first 3. Young directed Dr.NO, FRWL and Hamilton took over for GF and made what is aguably the best Bond movie to date. Spider-Man is Marvel and sony's hottest property, I would have thought most of you would have a bit more faith in the studio to get someone capable of helming these movies after Raimi.

I agree, sure Raimi seems like the right choice to continue the franchise, but how will we know if he's the best if we don't see what other directors can do with Spider-Man first?

It needs to be the same. Regardless of what you think about them, they are the backbone of this franchise.

The only way I'd want a new cast and crew is a reboot, but I don't want a reboot yet. We're just getting to the good stuff; Peter and MJ married,The Lizard, Kraven The Hunter, Chameleon, Rhino, Electro, Carnage, Scorpion....

There's so many good things they can do with this continuity, and I only want this continuity to go on with Toby, Sam and Kirsten.
