But does it have to be to be utilized in the film? I'd prefer this comic nod to Ultimate's Organic Goat Hoofed Doomage.

There was a whole
arc devoted to the power-switch situaton--it's out in trade right now. In it, Susan learned a whole new appreciation for her brother's abilities. It was a high-selling series too and it should be fresh in the minds of many readers.
My point is the power-switcheroo has precedence in the source material and probably supports another plot point.
Ok I have seen the trailer about ten times now. These are my thoughts but first off, thanks LS for clarifying Sue's abilities. Reed stopping the chopper would be unwise. The blades would test his maleability and I think he would have lost, see the first appearance of Annihilus and you may see why.
As far as the super skrull thing, the source (comic) is your character and concept bible when translating the comic to the movie but there is room for expression and originality as long as you don't materialy break from the source ala Spiderman and his organic webbing (this was an improvment on the character's origin IMHO) so even if it had never been done in the comics, that should not deter a director from pushing the envelope and doing something cool, COOL RULES!! and this was really funny to me. I do hope that it is a short scene however as I love seeing the group interact.
Now the trailer itself. It was of the same high quality as the teaser so I was not shocked at the pace and intense action. Honestly the production values on this film and energy was so high after the teaser hit that what I saw in the trailer was expected. It felt like a continuation of the feeling i got when the teaser hit.
So what does that mean. Honestly I expect this film to be the thrill ride of the summer. Doom is reminding me of Darth Vader and I think that that is fitting as Darth Vader was based on him. Tim Story is obviously really enjoyin g himself on this film.
Now if they give us Galactus that will be it. I like what willy said over in the other thread, if the cloud was Galactus Loan would [Edit] have said that was him, because the cloud is in the film (recent photos).
It is all looking good. After this weekend with all the trailer views we will probably see the buzz explode.
The summer is super packed and FF2 will be fighting for its life but with everything we have seen so far this film could be the monster that I sense it has the power to be. With all the negative reviews last time the FF still scored at the box office. I remember thinking there is some kind of connect that the kids had with this movie, the kid in all of us. Perhaps it was a sense of things to come.
Come June 15th I suspect, nothing will ever be the same.
