Ultimate X #1 Preview

Well it seems the mystery is out. Our blond wolverine kid is Sabretooth's son most likely. Or well i'm making that assumption based off the villain variant, title and i can't comphrend the idea of Wolverine getting someone pregnant lol. Still was there ever an official confirm whenever or not Sabretooth is Wolverine's son?

EDIT: Oh snap i didn't notice the J.H parts... So he is Wolverine's son.

I'd think it would be MORE likely, not less. Just as with Daken. I rather liked the preview myself. I might actually like this and not groan in dismay for being suckered in by an intriguing cover....

The way the X-gene expresses itself is supposed to be 100% random. No influence from your genetic make-up. Guess it just makes for certain plots I guess.

It makes no effin sense though in my head for a guy whose mutants parents are say in the case of Scott and Jean Grey to come out with the power to control the weather like Storm.

I think variations are more acceptable when it's the same exact power I get kinda annoyed. But the again it is also like a kid who sings well who has a mother or father who sing well. It's not a huge issue for me and I can accept eithe version.

It just makes no effing sense to me though. Kitty Pryde gets pregnant with Piotr's baby. Baby should either come out being able to phase or turn into metal or hell both. He shouldn't come with Dazzler's powers. It's just too wtf random.

Because it's supposed to be random. It's not so much evolution(where parent/children identical powers would make sense), but more like your chances of wearing a blue shirt tomorrow while your dad wears a red one.

Here's an Ultimate X review: 3.5/5 score. The critic refers it to be in tune with Superman story that Loeb+Sale did, he says it's not much of a superhero book and the issue is all about Jimmy Hudson. Makes it wonder how all these title characters will eventually meet up and whatnot. Art gets praised and so forth.

So yeah if some people here we're getting it this week. Hope you guys won't be disappointed!

Jeph Loeb interview on Ultimate X!

- The theme of the serie is: Hope
- Team-roster plays homage to the Original X-Men team.
- Character driven. Recommended if you liked Loeb's Spider-Man: Blue, DD: Yellow & Superman For all Seasons.
- Karen (Black haired Lady) has a secret.
- The character with wings is "dangerous" guess he's a furious guy? =o
- Firegirl is very afraid. No confirm whenever or not she's Liz Allen, most likely is?
- First 5 issues is all about the introduction of these characters. You will see how the pacing goes.
- No headquarters, no superhero costumes or any mansion to live on.
- Will face super villains at times.
- Goverment is hunting down mutants to make them register.
- Story is about the struggles of life and as mentioned: hope is the theme and this is a story about these peoples lives.
- Hulk was a necessary character. I personally belief he'll take the mentor role since Bruce Banner is the only adult character of the roster.

you passed after that? Damn thats what got me really interested. I'm just happy something different yet entertaining is finally happening. Hell first issue and nobody died! That alone gets my approval.

Still that is a bit hinky and a little too convenient, you know? Now he'll be exactly like dad, making Logan's death that much more of a waste. I liked the whole book except for that one lame thing. It's forgivable, though, because the rest was just fine in my opinion. We'll see how the next issues go.
