lol wait wait, this is one of your reasonings? Kraven is superhuman, so he can go toe toe with Spider-Man in a physical fight. He has enhanced sight, smell, and hearing, so once he fights Spider-Man, he can track him down anywhere, which can be troubles for Peter and his friends. Not only added with his experienced hunting skills, he has a vast array of weaponry at his disposal and can set up a multitude of traps for Spidey. Hmm from stating all that, I can imagine a ton of interesting and exciting fight sequences. Hmm is your imagination that lacking?
Don't be an idiot. After SM3, if Raimi is smart he'll do away with making connections with every villain, unless they already have one pre-established in the comics (i.e. Lizard). Therefore this point is null.

Well said. Some people just want to throw villains in for the hell of it not thinking at all how they would fit into the story which is the most important aspect of the movie. Kraven is a threat to Spiderman as well as Dr Connors ( Lizard) and creates a niussance which Spidey has to deal with. Let the Lizard provide the fantastic battle scenes while allowing Kraven to be a fantastic secondary villain.

Yes, ideally this is close to how I would like to see it played out. it puts Spiderman in a difficult position of trying to help his friend/mentor from harm and finding a cure at the same time Spiderman has to protect himself from this savage beast who is out of control. And then there is Kraven who is out to kill/capture the beast. He has to thwart Kraven as well as battle the beast he has sworn to protect. It is an excellent story IMO if written well.

It wasn't just a cameo, he was going to be a main villain. But that subplot got written out early on in the writing stages.
They are half-brothers and yes he did a job for Chameleon in Kraven's first story.
I remember hearing about that. I guess then Electro would be alright for the movies. They can have him try to make another blackout or something.
