I hear they are filming part 4 and 5 simultaneously. Like Lord of the Rings.
Why stop there? Why not make part 6, and include the Sinister Six?
Spider-Man has trouble dealing with one bad guy at a time, even in the comics, so how would he handle six at once? It would not only be a great finally, but could include some fan favorites that might not make it otherwise. Plus, if Tobey and the rest retire from the Spider-Man universe after this film, it would be a major send off.

movie Mysterio's costume:
I have an idea how to explain, in the movie, Mysterio's odd costume.
May contain spoilers about Mysterio

In the comic he tells how he disguised himself as Spider-Man, creating devices to make him look like the real Spider-Man and give him Spidey's powers.
But once he had framed Spider-Man he decided to create a superhero persona to swoop in, stop Spider-Man and save the day.
He designs his costume sort of mimicking Spider-Man's.
Everything Spider-Man can do he can do too, artificially.
His bubble dome head is based on Spider-Man's one way mirrored eyelets. His smoke gloves are based on Spidey's web shooters (in the movie it would be more like he invented an artificial way to do what Peter can do naturally).
Peter's natural web shooters:

His checkered costume could be based on Spider-Man's design too.

What if Mysterio's costume was made like Spider-Man's for the movie, the raised web design would just be made black but still raised and made more like checked lines.
Maybe if someone could photoshop a Spider-Man movie costume (making the red greed, and darkening the spider-web design.)

Anyway, his outlandish costume would be because he was just trying to upstage Spider-Man

Here are two quick examples of how the pattern of Mysterio's costume can be done.
Just like Spider-Man's webbing it can be raised.

electro.

reimagine the fight sequence from the USM video game. Time square.

the same thought came to mind when i first thought about Electro in the movie. i mean they did say that NY would have a big part in it as far as the villain. i mean can u imagine a black out in NY? not only YES a fight scene in Time Square with Electro and Spider-Man would be epic. crossing fingers

^That would be so cool to see! A blackout in NY and Spider-Man is fighting Electro!

It's kinda hard to find a good actor to play Max Dillion/Electro. I think Adam Scott could play the role good.

He looks more to me that he could play Ned Leeds or something. Not Electro though. Depending on how they make him look like, classic or ultimate. If classic then yeah Ned Leeds. If Ultimate maybe he could be Electro.

I bet it will be The KingPin asuming They got the right from fox for that character hes the only one that comes across as a NY villain whatever that means. but maybe then we would see scorpion and rhino as his lackys

I don't think that'll transpire, because usually big property trades between studios would be reported on (in some way). But, if this is true... I congratulate them for keeping it secret. Anything's possible from now until any form of confirmation is released.

Right... and that would be the whole purpose of "it's a NY thing that fan would appreciate" statement. Marvel could have secretly attain the DD and everything that comes with it, rights back from Fox, and selling those rights to Kingpin to Sony. We don't know.... I doubt it, but there is that possibility that we know nothing about. Til next year's Comic Con. :)

I have to agree there. IMO, he'd make a great Ned leeds, and speaking of Ned Leeds, Wouldn't it be cool to have him hook up with Betty, therefore making Peter jealous like in the comics?

Well, Elizabeth said that she wouldn't return if her role wasn't relevant, in a way, to the story. So, that storyline's a definite possibility.

I would like to see Ned Leeds. I am all for seeing some supporting characters grace the screen.

Yes, but as part of Fox's great global effort to f*** with fans everywhere Fox would undoubtedly announce their sale...

Also... as part of said global plan to f*** with us they wouldn't sell the rights to someone who might do something good with it in the first place...

Kevin Bacon should had been Eddie Brock...

Edit:

Regarding the whole Mysterio costume justification, it's alot more obvious and simpler to have Quentin Beck start out as a performer in some sort of carnival/circus/illusion show with the costume already designed.

Then he gets gready and somehow gains access to alot of tech, which he applies to his already existing costume in order to start a criminal life of glory.

Either way, I can't see him being able to be the main offender of a whole movie. He always struck me as a gimmick villain. He's nice to fill in some gaps but not as a "final boss"...
