This could be worse,but they could make it where the movie begins when Peter wakes up in a private hospital.We find out that the end of SM3 was a dream,something Peter's mind created cause he couldn't deal with the truth.

-MJ was killed by the villains,spidey didn't save her this time.
-Sandman was never a good guy,he was a evil thug.
-Venom didn't die.
-Harry never came to help Peter fight off the villains.
-Peter did kill Harry when he threw that pumpkin bomb at him.
-Iron Man showed up instead to help spidey.
-Iron Man was able to seperate the symbiote from Brock.
-Brock is in a mental hospital.
-Flint Marko is in a special prison where he can't use his powers to escape.

There was also a rumor a while back than when we learn who the villain is we'll already know who is playing him.

It's possible there are two villains but I definately think the Lizard will be one.

Which was my point a few post ago...if we learn that, that one of the villians is Mysterio, many will come in claiming they knew it would be Bruce Cambell, great choice, I can't see anyone else playing QB, Cambell FTW... don't pretend many wouldn't. Including whats his face.

I was being sarcastic with my PIRATES comment above, 2 & 3 were just fine, made tons of money, and fit into the world established by the first movie.
Just like Spidey 3 did with it's series.
The problem with SM3 was not that there was an "alien" in it, but rather that Avi forced them to shoehorn in a character who did not belong in that movie. As much as I hate Venom, had part 3 been used as a set up for him in part four, it would have been a better movie [but you would also have to get rid of all that "Saturday Night Fever" crap - that just did not belong in that movie].

I have not seen the 2nd and 3rd movies of that series, but was that really what took them off track? The critisicms I have read of them, and which have stopped me from seeking them out, have been the bad scripts and messy, confused, convulted plotting.

The monsters had nothing to do with the decline in quality. In fact, the Kraken and Davy Jones and his crew are probably the coolest things in the entire series. What caused the decline in quality was that Dead Man's Chest felt like half a movie, because they decided to split the story. Dead Man's Chest itself is funny, easy to follow and entertaining - probably moreso than the first one...it's just not complete. At World's End suffers from major script issues for a large part of the movie, but if you're a fan of the series you will enjoy it. Basically, it becomes a bit incomprehensible for about half an hour because the screenwriters got way too far ahead of themselves and created all these subplots they couldn't handle (and which weren't really necessary).

If they made a villain for example like the Scorpion have a armor mask where you couldn't see the actor's face,then they should make it like how they made the movie Iron Man,where certain shots where we saw Stark's view inside the suit at times.

I love Morbius, but I'm not so sure if I could see him in a Spidey movie.... Really, Morbius feels more like he should be a Ghost Rider villain than a Spidey one.... Still, it could work - Morbius was awesome in TAS (except for the plasma replacing blood).
I'm rooting for Lizard. He's always been a favorite of mine, and the addition of Connors is, like, teasing us.... I'm not really a fan of Kraven, but he could work only in combination with Lizard. Really, though, Lizard could carry a movie all on his own. What I want to see is for them to portray Lizard as not just a mindless monster, and definitely not a devious mastermind, but as more of a lost dog, confused and alone....
Someone suggested Man-Wolf - and I wouldn't mind that at all. Especially if it sets up for Scorpion in later movies (I love Scorpey). One idea I had is to combine the Spider-Slayer and Scorpion plots, so that Smythe gets carried away and begins doing human experimentation - thus creating Scorpion. JJJ realizes he's going too far, and cuts funding, so Smythe and Scorpey turn on him. But I'm not sure if they're ready for that yet.... And Man-Wolf could easily be used to set it up....

Lizard is a savage beast with super strenght, agility, ability to stick to walls, sharp teeth and a powerful tail. He's also semi-intelligent. Makes him a valid foe for Spider-Man 4 if you ask me.

As far as the line up for a possible Sinister Six - what's wrong with the originals?
