Sequels Oh... the Possibilities

It would take something such as this to get my interest up for the sequel. right now, i'm pulling for a J.L. film, but this WOULD change everything.

Just do the SR sequel film and have the ending be a lead into the JLA film with George Miller directing.

Well...they should get their collective thumbs out their a$$es and make it work. This is publicity. Its intended to draw interests and get fans hyped. Of course this what they want. Marvel continues to move forward and launch new projects. DC has every bit the characters the villains and the heroes to make successful films. There will be failures and there will be successes.

If something truly "leaks" it should take only a couple days to course through the media.

What you guys don't realize is alot of rumors due have some truth to them, somewhere at the core.

Now I am not saying Villian's post is valid, because who knows at this point. However, it seems that Villian is pointing to the fact they were prepared for a annoucement at Comic Con that didn't happen for one reaosn or another. I was given that same info.

The rumors of the Whakowski Bros doing a Superman sequel, this could have actually been for a JLA further down the road. Wheels are spinning.

yeah...i just think without a doubt....THE right move would be to have Harris and Dougherty tie in there script with the idea that is floating around to have their sequel be linked to the JLA film.....even if it's just in a minor way. It's still the right move IMO.

As much as I'd love that, I dont think we'll hear Jack-****!... I just can't wait to hear what they're doing/showing for their Batman: The Dark Knight panel! However, IF we here confirmation about a Supes-sequel at Wizard World also, I'll die happy!

Fans of the Man of Steel, these are indeed, exciting times. News on the progression of the sequel to “Superman Returns” are beginning to filter out of the vault, also known as, Warner Brothers. Rest assured, the sequel is on track for a 2009 release. However, due to mounting questions about this article, let me clarify one item that appear to be misconstrued by some of the readers, due to no fault of their own.

Fact: There are on going discussions about linking the propose JLA project to the “Superman Returns” sequel, being directed by Bryan Singer. VillainWatch were under the impression that Mike Dougherty and Warner Brothers would be confirming the sequel, at the 2007 Comic Con in San Diego; with the big news being, its linkage to JLA. That announcement maybe still yet to come, but information to the such, has already started to leak out, in one form or another. However to clarify, it’s just what it is, a link…. nothing more than that.

Both Superman: Man of Steel and the JLA project are being treated as separate entities. By no means, did we intend to give the impression that JLA will relate directly to the Superman sequel. It is our understanding that the linkage is a result of this undisclosed draft, that seem to be floating around the halls at Warner Brothers, and an ending cliffhanger involving a major super villain, who story is then develop and play out in the proposed JLA project. JLA is preliminary being slated for 2010.

WHAT?! Villain actually responded! This has got to be a first!

So is it confirmed that Singer is doing the sequel?

Either way...I still think having the SR sequels story or ending be a LEAD into the JLA film....would be a great idea!

Btw has anyone discussed that Singer may actually do better with a JLA film? I hate to bring up his X-men movies but he can handle multiple characters well. Hmm... Let the plot thicken

Not saying that Villain isn't full of sh--, but it seems like he may have seen/heard an earlier draft of the script. Some of the stuff he got wrong was only slightly off. And in the official movie novelization, Sandman's daughter was at the battle royale at the end of the movie.
