So we know the Omac robots are gonna be in the movie, what design look would you like ? Straight from the books or tweaked ?

post some pics and ideas in here.

I don't really see any problem with their comic designs.

I hate to rely on visual aides, but there needs to be an inhuman quality to the OMACs. The CGI needs to be top notch, like photorealistic Transformers quality stuff. They need to be scary and rigid and coordinated with ruthless cold efficiency.

Heh, you guys found the google images pics I was gonna post. :woot:

Totally agreed, the CGI must follow the lead of TF as far as the realistic nature of the bots and their movement.

Why are they different colours ? also if they did tweak them i wouldn't mind the Mohawks going.

Beat me to it. If they go for how it looks in the comics, I'd say that would be one thing they might deviate from. I'd be cool with a whole new look as well though if that's what they want.

I actually would like them to be a mixture between the comics and I, Robot designs

I see no reason to deviate from the look they have in the comics, though I agree the mohawks can go.

I wouldn't get rid of the mohawks but I'd definitely shorten them.

I like the design overall but get rid of the mohawks the rest is fine as is

The mohawks should definitely stay. I'd be fine if they were shorter, but that's one of the defining aspects of the OMAC. Why bother using OMACs specifically if you're not going to do them right.

Mohawks must stay!

And be HUGE! :cmad:

I think the mohawks make them more dynamic visually instead of just being blue. Maybe they could give them some kind of robo-fauxhawks.

I love that description. If only they could get Robert Patrick to do the motion capture work on the OMACs and he played them exactly like the T-1000...*drool*

Now THAT is a truly inspired idea. Too bad we won't see that happen.

I think the mohawks should be tall and sharp. Like a shark's fin.

i think the OMAC designs were inspired by centurions right?

the comic version is perfect just the way it is, the fim version can get really creative with the material/ texture that the OMAC suits would have.

Will WETA be doing them as well as the JLA costumes ?

well its confirmed that Weta will do the VFX and the costumes, so yes on both :)

in fact word is that Weta has finished initial designs on the hero costumes. its just the question of when we could take a peek.

I'd rather see them tweaked a bit. Keep the mohawk thing, shorted it a bit, make the eye less cartoony, make the entire OMAC more techy, with smaller pieces, not so "smooth" looking.
