I wonder if Fassbender's French was just as horrifically mangled as Russian by most characters in FC (even the supposed Russian characters!)

Fassbender's French lines were fine in FC.

It will be interesting to see Omar in a non comedic role.

Never seen this guy in anything but I just hope Bishop is in this movie, he was so awesome in the animated series in the 90's one of my favourite characters easily.

He's an awesome actor! Not too sure I'm down with him as Bishop though. He has a pretty thick French accent, and I don't think his English is that great. Here's an interview in English he did a few months back:

Nothing really says Bishop can't be French. I'm sure they could have a dialect coach on set.

I'm not overly enthusiastic about any of the suggestions I've heard thus far. Bishop is okay but unnecessary, in my opinion. As for Synch, something about the character doesn't sit well with me. He's seems rather boring and out of his element in a story like this. Besides, we've already had Darwin, and we still have Mystique. Can't we find a mutant whose power doesn't rely on adaptation and the mimicking of others?

In the same way Jason was a version of Master Mind, I think Sy will be a new version of another character. Maybe a Destiny type character.

Yeah, I know giant robots are kind of a silly (albeit badass) concept...but a GIANT giant robot that poops out little giant robots is a really silly one.

I don't really need to see Master Mold. If they want to use the term "Master Mold" in relation to a mold, or part of a sentinel factory or something...great.

I didn't Ignore that.Kinda hard to Imagine Bill Duke playing older version of Omar Sy.Unfortunitly I think he might be playing Bishop.But he might be playing a character based on charatcer from comics.Like you mentioned jason In X2 was loosly based on Mastermind.

I still maintain If Apocalpse Is In film we are looking at cameo at end of film like Thanos In the Avengers.

I maintain Omar Is more likely playing Bishop In future scenes or another mutant In 1973 scenes.

Personally I don't think we should take any of these as face value

1:When past actors say they knew nothing.Patrick stewert In ealry fall may had sliped up when talking about returns.So far with exception of Rebecca Romijn all he mentione have been confirmed.Later when promating the NG Bluray set he now claimed he knew nothing.A couple of days later Shawn Ashmore went from knowing nothing to confirmed.
2:The assumation that Omar Is playing Bishop.I made It known I prefer this to be their intreption of original Days of future Past comic story.I want Bishop keep far away since I
don't want him to be time traveler.Although that worry may be nothing If mind switch Is how they are do time travel.Despite what Animated series would have you believe Bishop Is not a consent time traveler.He got stuck In present from his future while purshuring villain.And couldn't go back.After that the only time he time traveled was when he was one of X-Men that followed Legion back In time when he killed Xavier and created AoA.Wolverine and the X-Men had much better adaptian of Bishop than 90's show did.
3:Apocalpse-can we talk about jumping the gun here.People are jumping on answers to questions like It's confirmation.Bryan Singer can be very vague when answering questions. Seriously with Sentinles In fuutre,anti mutant Humans In 1973 part of film,and likely the brotherhood trying to kill Peter Dinklage's character or Nixon.What purpose does
Apocalypse serve In that story.In X2 bryan changed stryker from reverand to black ops Military colonel(who had a military past even In original comic) In adopting God Loves
Man kills.He didn't add Stryker to story he changed him as part of interpting the God Loves Man kills as followup to X-men.I am sure there Is reason why film takes place with Nixon as actully character.My thinking Is they changed the target of assassination from Kelly to someone Involved In devolping sentinles.

Omar might be playing Snych who reportly was considered for Inclusion for first Class.

Part of me can see him playing Synch as the bodyguard to whoever is being targeted by the Brotherhood, because visually it would just be awesome seeing him fight off Brotherhood members with their own powers.

Thats good thinking, and I agree. Everyone assumes every piece of casting info has to be a mutant. Maybe he's a French diplomat that helps lead the charge for the creation of the sentinels?

If this were set in the 60s, I'd agree. All the assassinations going on of civil rights activist, but then he'd need to be American for that to make sense.



The only other thing against Bishop is that we've already seen his power set in FC.

This Is set In 1973 when Nixon Is In white house,with Us pulled out of vietnam,and Nixon was In middle of watergate.Civil rights was not big concern for Nixon.

Bishop Is possible for future scenes.His power would work better for VS Sentinles In future than against Brotherhood In 1973.

Synch Is possiblty since he reportly was considered for First Class.Maybe Omar Is playing a mostly silent henchman for Magneto.
