Magneto makes an orb or sphere out of metal in which he goes into outer space. Jean could do the same with telekinesis.

Im telling you it's a god complex Marvel has, at one point or another almost all characters become all mighty and all powerful, and it's always some hack job writer or if not a good writer who happens too be a fan of the character .

Atleast Marvel's god complex is a temporary effect, DC's is permanent, just look at most of the JLA members

If both them can do that, then their isn;t a reason why Storm couldn't create an electromagnetic field or a pressure field to fly through space.

She not only uses the tk(telekinesis) to make a sheild, she also uses it to make herself fly.

She forms a field around herself and at the same time telekinetically pulls in and packs it with oxygen. Once that is all taken care of she uses her teke to propel herself through space.

Since there is no resistance in space she would need minimal force to propel herself.
