It's not helping Ryback who I actually think has the potential to be a much better match worker than Goldberg, he has good timing, snap to his offense and is very mobile, but his act is coming off as a parody.

I like Ryback's look and think he does a good job with his moves (except the silly marching, that has to stop), but like you said, his act comes across as a parody and his lines are terrible.

I'd like to see the guy given something better

Agreed, the presentation is all wrong, his mannerisms, the marching and talking to himself, the squashing of jobbers who weigh less than the Divas while the commentators laugh seems like an in-joke.
