Impact was very good, the ultimate X match was fun as always, I loved the Aries/Hogan promo, I think Hogan is genuinely putting guys over the only way he can now. I can't wait for Roode vs Aries, that should be a hell of a main event after the disgrace at Slammiversary.

The gauntlet and Storm's promo were both really good and Assmacher got a solid first defense in.

Roode tapping out Anderson and winning dominantly is something we need to see more of.

The show's only flaws are the continued Bully Ray/Abyss angle and the boring run of Devon as TV champion.

The end with the three big guys attacking Sting was intriging and hopefully is not just about Jarrett as I want to see another Sting vs Jarret match about as much as I want to be anally probed by Big Show.

Late to this, but I'm catching Slammiversary now. Good gosh, TNA looks much better in an arena versus the Impact zone. Looked like a sellout crowd. Makes a true difference.

Austin Aries is THE MAN. They've built him up well. He's the next CM Punk in the sense of another former indy guy with the total package as a worker getting elevated to main-event status. It's well-deserved. His match with Joe at Slammiversary was excellent. They wrestled each other in ROH and I saw a few callbacks to one of their encounters.

TNA needs to keep their momentum going. They're owning WWE right now in product and they do have the deeper roster. If Roode were to go down, they have people who can slide in his spot. If Cena or CM Punk down, WWE are screwed.

Right now TNA has more legitimate contenders for Roode than WWE has for Punk or Sheamus even if the belts were unified. WWE has the talent but they have to build them from a much lower level. Ziggler is the best example there. Orton and Jericho were up to the task but Del Rio just isn't ready for the main event yet. They are all out. Rey is suspended. Mark Henry is hurt. Lesnars part time. Bryan seemed to get over in spite of WWE rather than thanks to them. They should be thanking God they have him right now.

Bret always comes across as a guy with an axe to grind and as a guy who is still bitter.

IMO, he has one of the worst egos in wrestling. No he never let that ego get in the way of business and putting guys over, but he puts himself on a pedestal.

Next to Hogan, no one puts themselves over more than Bret. Even when he compliments guys, he always has to draw some kind of comparison to himself and the boys being like him.

And of course just like so many other wrestlers like (Flair for example), Bret flips flops his opinion of someone based on how they put him over.

Yeah as much as I love Bret's work he tends to put himself over. He's even done it in situations when Hogan didn't like when he was asked who was the greatest WWE champion ever. A lot of what he said in this interview is true but seems like he gives credit to some so he can give himself credit. Brets a good guy who HAS helped others out but in his mind its about him a little to much sometimes.

This smells like Haitch to me, it's so similar to many other things said about him, he's a ****, his actions damage others which is what puts him closer to Hogan's league than anyone else.

He needs to accept it, no street fight with Foley, no credibility.

I believe its true. The use of Foley has been subpar since his return. He's had a few entertaining moments but Mick Foley could be used so much better. And I don't mean in an in ring role. Foley could be an on air character like a GM or representative of the board if he doesn't like being on the road a lot at this stage in life. When he does come back for guest spots it should mean something unlike that stupid skit at Wrestlemania.

And Foley making HHH look better goes all the way back to 1997. He was making Haitch a star in the midcard then. Foleys elevated or outright made more guys than Triple H ever will as a wrestler and he's given back more than most to the business.

Funny how even now HHH seems to be so insecure when it comes to guys who were more over than him. Austin, Rock, Foley, etc.

I had forgotten she did the Goonies song. Whenever I see Josh Brolin, I think "I can't believe that he started out on the Goonies." I say the same whenever I see Martha Plimpton or Sean Astin.

If anything this could mean that she would be the next celebrity into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Chris Shays took aim at U.S. Senate frontrunner Linda McMahon and the content of WWE programming several times during an hour-long Republican debate at the University of Connecticut Thursday, saying that the wrestling organization's stories are the real "war on women." At two points, he referred to McMahon's husband, Vince McMahon, making a woman—Trish Stratus—remove her clothing and bark like a dog during a skit.

“I think when you force a woman to take off all her clothes in an arena, and get down on the ground and bark like a dog, I think that’s assault on women,” said Shays.

"You can't talk about you're a job creator without talking about the jobs you created," he told reporters after the debate, adding how McMahon has no answers to his criticism. Shays also referenced stories of WWE wrestlers who have died young, which have been widely attributed to the use of performance-enhancing drugs. McMahon, however, steered away from his WWE-related criticism to focus on her job plans.

"I'm very proud of the company that I have helped grow, from the point of time when my husband and I shared a desk," said McMahon. "I’m proud of the jobs that I have created here in Connecticut, and I’m proud of the millions of dollars that we have put into the economy here in our state."

“A job creator?" Shays responded. "Hugh Hefner is a job creator. I don't want Hugh Hefner being there, and I don't want Linda McMahon being there."

hey, when I was watching last night's Smackdown, which really sucked bigtime match-wise, did Cena mistime his punch to Big John's forehead?...

it LOOKED like he didn't pull back in time and actually connected with Big John, because it looked like he actually hurt his hand just a bit, the way he kept on trying to shake off the pain of the impact...

he kept doing that from the moment he did it to all the way to the top of the ramp...

but it WAS a parallel to Show laying the "smackdown" on Vince, but I THINK this one was the real deal...

and when Big John, who was lying on the mat, got his s**t together, he was muttering something to the ref who was by his side and he really DID seem slightly stunned...

- It was reported a few weeks back that three WWE Superstars had failed WWE Wellness tests this year. One was Randy Orton, who has been suspended for 60 days. The other was reported by SuperLuchas Magazine to be Cody Rhodes. Rhodes appeared to be taking time off but word came out that he wasn't suspended because he provided a valid prescription for the drug he was taking.

Take this as a rumor until it's confirmed by another source but SuperLuchas now reports the third WWE Superstar to fail the Wellness Policy was Ezekiel Jackson.

Jackson reportedly tested positive for high levels of synthetic testosterone. Jackson reportedly provided a legal prescription and was not suspended for violating the WWE Wellness Policy. Again, take this as a rumor until confirmed by another source.
