Once the Wrestling Thread Goes Bryan, There's No Point in Tryin! - - Part 64

Welp, got my ticket to ROH on the 24th. Can't wait to see that show, even if it's headlined by that no-selling POS Steen.

Caught up on SD, pretty good show that followed the same structure it has for weeks now.

As much as like both Punk and Bryan I think AJ is stealing the angle lol, she was great on SD with Vickie, and then post tag match as she knelt with an almost orgasmic look on her face at the top of the ramp as Kane looked on confused. I thought Ziggler got his brief mic shot in well and it was overall a good build segment/match for the two title bouts.

The Big Show also cut one of his best promos ever IMO, the stuff with Cena and Johnny was boring though, I'm tired of this dreck closing shows.

Thanks Hunter, for once again supplying us with photos of Divas in their swimsuits.

Rory McAllister, who appeared for WWE from 2006 to 2008 as a member of The Highlanders, feels today's crop of Divas don't compare to the extraordinary bombshells of days gone by. Though attractive in their own right, he categorizes today's female talent as 'girls,' rather than 'Divas,' and lacking special, indefinable attributes.

"WWE has some pretty girls working there but what happened to having Divas!? Trish, Candace, Torrie. WOMEN of hotness!" McAllister voiced on Twitter Thursday.

He then makes a daring comparison.

"I can see pretty much most of today's chicks at any bar on a Friday night. #nothingspecial."

A follower of McAllister's stated, "WWE doesn't believe in having divas who can wrestle, they'd rather just give them 3 minutes and and tell them to bounce around." The wrestler responded, "Agreed, but they're not even hot enough to hold my interest."

He continues, "Like I said I see them in any bar. But! If Trish walked into a bar, EVERYONE would be like "who the f*** is that!" Same goes for Torrie Wilson, Candace, Lita etc. The new chicks have zero "IT" factor."

McAllister also feels that WWE's premiere starlet, Kelly Kelly, lacks je ne sais quoi.

"She's a good lookin chick but no "holy ****" factor!" he wrote.

WWE brass may share similar sentiments; no Diva has solely graced the cover of their magazine since 2006.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is back with another blog, here are some highlights:

WWE No Way Out: "For some reason, nothing specific but just a feeling, I'm guessing that WWE really shakes things up Sunday night on PPV at No Way Out. 'People Power' which reminds me of my Aunt Ruth's 'sour belches' (both are/were organically stinky) seems to be in jeopardy with the return of Mr. McMahon but the Boss siding with John Cena on this matter is a head scratcher so who knows what is going to occur Sunday night?"

Top matches at the pay-per-view: "I fully anticipate Sheamus vs. Ziggler being a classic World Title Bout. I expect nothing less from two of my favorite talents. Plus, Punk-Bryan-Kane,,,and AJ will have a heck of an outing even though I am personally not a huge fan of Triple Threat bouts as a rule but I've enjoyed the build to this one. "

AJ: "AJ is arguably the most compelling/interesting new, WWE TV persona to come along in a a good while. She's a provocative, girl next door, with 'something' not just 'quite right' and has her seat reserved to leave at any time on the 'Crazy Train.'"

Jim Ross also gives his thoughts on Jinder Mahal's future, Drew McIntrye, NXT, developmental talents and more.

- The WWE website recently caught up with Vader discussing his return to WWE on RAW and also spoke on his personal favorite Raw moment.

"Of all the Raws that I've been part of, of all the main events I've been part of, I can't answer that question," Vader said. "Then, you talk about the great stars; Shawn Michaels, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, The Undertaker. I mean -- wow. The list is phenomenal and it goes on and on. Vader, a guy named Big Van Vader, he's on that list. [Laughs.]"

- WWE officially announced on Friday's edition of WWE SmackDown that following Vader's return to the ring on Monday's RAW, the company will feature a "Blast from the Past" Legend appearing every week, leading to the celebration of the 1000th episode of RAW on July 23rd.

If anyone's interested, there are documentaries on Mick Foley at 6 am, The Rock at 7 am, Hulk Hogan at 8 am, and The Unreal Story of Pro Wrestling at 9 am, so set your DVR's. On Biography channel.

Since she's guest hosting Raw next week, is it too early to announce Cindi Lauper as the next celebrity into the WWE Hall of Fame for next year? Her and Mr. T. Why has Mr. T not been in yet?

What's the reason behind that?

I'm not sure if there was any truth to that or not. That's just what I remember reading about a couple of years ago.

Edit: Did a little Google search, found a couple articles about him not wanting to be a part of it because Pete Rose is in the WWE HOF. Could be just a bunch of internet rumor bs though.

Mr T pities the fools that take the WWE HOF seriously.

BS or not, you still want to see certain people in it.

Like Vader. Partake in his return once again. If this is his WWE/Mainstream swan song, he went out like a mother****ing boss.

Ignoring the backyardtard, when did the ROH title belt become such an over designed fussy mess?

Their non-tag titles have been ugly ****s for a while.

Can't believe that no talent piece of **** is called Mr. Wrestling.

I don't think the ROH world title is that bad in design!,Kevin Steen has no talent?Pfft

Steen is so overrated. I don't understand why he is so popular amongst the ROH fans.

Not that bad on the mic(Although I'll agree he has a mouth piece for a reason)and I feel he can wrestle,He don't look much cause of his appearance But he's basically another Samoa Joe from the indies&his early TNA days!!

You don't understand that many fans have a different Opinion than you?..Oh ok!

[YT]J71JJSoVQ7o[/YT]

Now currently I personally would prefer IF Davey Richards was still holding the title!

I have no problem with others liking Steen, I just don't get it.

He's a no sell artist who uses anything and everything. No distinction to his "style" showing he's a beyond indytastic piece of ****. He's nowhere near the level of Joe is or was. He's not talented enough to carry Joe's jock, plain and simple.

Well I'll agree that I can't see Steen leaving the indies or beyond TNA!,Anyone think Davey Richards can&will leave the indies some day?

I don't think Davey wants to leave the indies. Doesn't he have a career outside of wrestling?

Not that I mind Steen but I remember him back in 2005 and feuding with Super Dragon in PWG and he was like ripped. Now he's all big and thick like Bubba Ray Dudley in his heyday.

I think he should try slimming down again, couldn't hurt him. Just saying, guys like Roderick Strong and Joey Ryan are now in much better shape than when they were in say 2004 and 2005. If you find some old ROH matches of Strong in 2004, dude was sort of pudgy around the edges but he worked all that out and became really lean and strong looking.

Checking out the card to next Sunday's ROH iPPV, the one match that I want to really see (since my friend Valdo, who might make a career of being a referee, says Elgin might be injured and might not be able to face Finlay) is Hybrid Fighting Rules match between Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly. That's going to be good.

Overall, a fine looking card, even with that main event.

NWO Predictions:

Cena - To make up for Over The Limit's BS

Sheamus - The match will be really good. Unfortunately, they made Dolph look like such a loser in the recent weeks prior to Del Rio's injury that he has no zero chance of winning back the World Heavyweight Title.

Punk - It's the return of No Way Out and Kane is involved so Bryan has a good chance of stealing the WWE Championship. However, the champion usually retains in the triple threat matches so my money in Punk overcoming the odds again.

Christian

Beth Phoenix - Come on, Vince!

Brodus Clay
Thanks to the recent suspensions and ADR's unfortune, the card is lame as fu**.

Re: Mr. T

From what I understand, he turned down the HOF because he was offended that Pete Rose got inducted before him. Can't say I blame him either since one of the reasons Wrestlemania was a success was because of his involvement.
