If One More Day breaks up the Pete/MJ marriage, I'm dropping Amazing. Ultimate and Spider-Girl will be more than enough for me.
Don't forget Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane. It's another "universe" true, but it is a QUALITY title. Very enjoyable.

And they have a great hardcover out that's 320 pages for only $16.49. You could get totally caught up for under $30. :yay:

I wouldn't mind them if Spidey didn't look like the alien from "Destry All Humans" in a Spidey outfit. I wish Joey Q from 9 years ago were drawing this instead of Joey Q "who needs anatomy" of today.

I like the "Classic" look, but I would have preferred them to get a more classic artist for the covers. John Romita Sr. doing to covers would have ensured that I would buy them.

Yeah, I like weird looking stuff sometimes. I dig a creepy looking web head.
So your not going to buy these issues then?

yea but i cant wait to see who it is going to be. Also yea i agree i would hate to see marriage end. The only thing i would like to see happen is somehow the world gets mindwiped of his id and the only people who know is mj,may and what ever heroes/villains who knew before the reveal in civil war. It would be silly to reboot spidey since no one else is getting a reboot in 616 verse from what i know and also with the skrull invasion story coming would be silly to do it.

Marvel is going through a terrible time between Skrulls, Civil War and Spidey.

If the scarlet spider is coming back, maybe thats what he means by the return of web shooters.
I mean, He hasn;t gone though all the power ups Pete has the past couple of years, has he?

It's the storyline that has the comic world buzzing and the event that will leave Spider-Man changed forever—it's One More Day, kicking off in Amazing Spider-Man #544! Written by the acclaimed J. Michael Straczynski, who redefined the wall-crawler for a new generation and penciled by Joe Quesada, one of the industry's most popular artists and Marvel's Editor-In-Chief, this storyline will tie together story threads seeded throughout JMS' six year tenure!

When this four-part story concludes, nothing will ever be the same for Peter Parker, as his decision affects the past, present and future of everyone's favorite wall crawler! "It's about the most terrible, awful thing in the world. Certainly the worst that Peter Parker has ever had to face," explained JMS. "He has to make a choice between two equally devastating possibilities, both of which will forever affect his life, and there is no third choice, no way around it."

OY yoy yoy.

See....I think we just MAY see Pete dating Gwen again (as JQ let slip could happen)....since i am now thinking that the change-a-roo is gonna be more of a TIMEsweep, maybe combined with a mindwipe. But, magical time-alteration regardless.

Since this clip says it'll affect his past, present and future.

And bye bye marriage & hello love triangles...just like JQ has also alluded to.

I am trying to hold out hope, but i've got a feeling JQ is really gonna take us back.

And he'll give us that Charlie Brown feel he has spoken of...making Spidey "timeless"....where there is no change & all the characters are always around...just "hanging out" with no progression, no marriage, etc.

And MJ prolly won't realize somewhere-in-time she once married Pete...& she'll be too busy fightin' crime anyway.

Bammo! Pow! Sock!

At least it gaurentees to leave us breathless!! And has the industry's favorite Artist, JQ himself.

:whatever:

Man... I'm excited yet worried at the same time.

:csad:

That write up has me more worried now unfortunately too.

It is sad that they're resorting to changing his "past, present, and future".

And they're not gonna get it right if JQ forces all the stuff he's talked about...it's gonna feel dated, been there done that...& just plain ...forced.

I liked Gwen, but don't need to have her & Harry alive again. And Pete and MJ need to be married & MJ should NOT be fighting crime.

Marvel needs to move ON..not backwards to the 70's...to make Pete "hip".

y'know, "Sins Past" is technically in Peter's past now...

We're all very quick to assume that the past that they may be changing is his "way past", but who's to say it's not just his recent past, as in the past few years' worth of JMS stories?

Maybe this story will undo totems, the Spider-God, Gwen sleeping with Norman and having his kids, the organic webshooters, the stingers, etc?

what a grand story t'would be :cwink:

That write up is exciting but makes me worried. Especially when it says that it will change Peter Parker forever.

That would be wonderful, to have all of that crap gone.:yay:

Don't all these events change Peter's life forever? :D
Yes, that's why I'm getting sick of them.:D

Yea i dont know how to feel about this. What i am hoping is just a mindwipe on the world on his identity so it can be secret again. No need to reboot spidey again and all that. As i mentioned in other and this thread rebooting spidey now would be a little weird to do with this skrull invasion story going no and all that plus no other guys are getting rebooted or what not from what i know.

Like TMOB I'm excited and worried at the same time.

If they do a time wipe there is no doubt that some good could come of it, namely JMS horrible arcs being wiped from continuity. To journey back to when Pete and Gwen were still together would be too much. It would make the last 30 years worth of Spider-Man comics mean nothing.

After all the great creators and stories that have been told in that time and how much Peter has evolved, to rewind time to when PP was 19 would be ******ed. The creators don't deserve their work to be forgotten and neither do the fans deserve it who have spent decades reading. It would be a colossal f-you to everyone involved. I love Harry and Gwen like everyone else, but that is in the past. Life goes on, you can’t live in the past.

A small rewind could be a good thing though to get rid of the JMS era, let’s hope it’s something like that. Maybe if as a result Pete and MJ are not together anymore it will be at the point when they were separated in JMS’ run.

Yeh..i don't mind to see some "smaller things" changed....but i don't want collosal rewrites of major components of Pete's history altered.

Harry and Gwen, for instance...should stay dead.

Pete should be married.

MJ should not be fighting crime.

It'll be interesting to see where this actually goes. I hope forward.

Could not be more worried about this. I do not want the marriage to end, and I do not want MJ to die.
I'm very disappointed JoeQ is doing the art too - I really like Garney's work and was loving the colours, it just fit.

I actually think Joe Q's art looks pretty cool for this story.
Also what's all this stuff about MJ becoming a superhero?...

I really hope it is jsut a mind wipe on the whole world on his id. So it goes back to may,mj, the heroes/villains that knew prior to civil war unmasking. there is really no need to reboot him/rewind years and years back. Cause that would be taking the character backwards instead of forward.

And to you dangerous the answer to your question is back a few months ago the free comic book day story for spider-man invovled a red head villain/hero called jackpot spidey faced and looked alot like mj. also they said some of the events from this story which currently are not part of 616 verse could become in cannon at a later point after OMD.
