Yeh, it's really only JQ's 2nd classic cover here that looks tinky winky.

That head on THIS Spidey looks lumpy and...alien....or praying mantis like...i dunno really...it is just.......odd.....like his head is made of Playdoh that someone smacked the heck out of...and then he stuck it in a very dirty chimney. I am surprised Marvel is allowing that piece of art...it looks rushed, or poorly done or something. Not to be mean...but sheesh. His cheek bones and chin/mouth area look overly "nubby".

In fact, i don't know if I've ever seen a worse spidey head ever drawn by anyone!!

(And WORSE spidey head scans ((art)) out there guys????)

The only problem I've ever had with that cover is the eye's, they're completely wrong, I know different artist's have their take on the character but the eye's there just don't appeal to me.

I never liked the eyes in that picture. The picture is fine but the eyes aren't IMO.

I actually never said there was anything wrong with the pic......farmernudie asked for badly drawn spidey heads.....I was only commenting on the head in the pic...nothing else

Hhhmm... To me it's the eyes that make it such a great piece.

Kaare Andrews doesn't hide how much he loves the '67 toon, he was obviously doing the squinty eyes that occasionally happened in that show.

The one thing I can say I don't like about joe q's spidey is the blue. The color feels very wrong to me. it's too pale. It looks like it got washed way too many times. It makes me want to yell at MJ for washing it too many times.

I love the big eyes as well. Steve Ditko, John Romita Sr., Todd Macfarlane, Jr.Jr. and other Spidey artists have drawn Spideys eyes great IMO.

Lol, it's just that the cover grabs at me. It makes me want to pick it up. The other one reminds me of death for some reason. It's just too plain.

Personally I think it's a cool cover.

That is what the covers were like from the 1960's-90's.
Ill be buying the original and varient covers for OMD.
