One More Day Discussion Thread

At least he banged J-Love, he will forever have my respect for that.

Dude, everyone and their mom has banged J-Love. Hell, I've banged J-Love.

It's no fantasy, my friend. You're just that pathetic. Dude, Corp has banged J-Love.

I'm not. Quit being jealous because you're the only one in the room who hasn't tapped it. :o

It probably happened so fast he just doesn't remember, you know, because it was THAT easy.

At this point it'd just be a waste of time. After me, everyone else just has a little too much wiggle room to do anything much with her. ;)

Fanboy Radio has a discussion about OMD in their most recent podcast. It's pretty standard--basically a lot of the stuff we've been saying, but with more level heads. The real gem is a guy who calls in within the last ten minutes of the show. Finally, someone else makes the argument that fanboys are 'tards for whining about everything and then supporting it financially.

Well, I'm definitely looking forward to the inevitable "deal-maker gets screwed anyway" part of the "Deal with the Devil" story that looks like it's being set up now in ASM.

It wasn't apparent that he got screwed anyway when he made a deal with the Devil?

Either you're not reading the title right now or you totally don't understand the way deals with the Devil work.

There's the initial screw over, which you notice soon after the deal is made. Then there's the follow up, which is the lesson about some things just being a part of destiny. The latter screw over is everything you had undone being redone.

But of course, you have to be reading it to know what I'm talking about.

Haven't we had this conversation before? I am reading the book.

And if you think that this deal is going to be undone at any time soon, you really are reading a different book than I am.

I think what he means is, It looks like that *****e whose robbing people with the Spidey mask on is gonna find out Pete's secret ID, go to his Aunt Mays house, and possibly kill her. Cuz that's the kinda s**t the devil does. Not only does she die anyway, but it was Petes fault once again. That my friend is the way of the deal, but they don't have the balls for something like that.

But if they kill May, then Peter's out living on his own like an *gasp* adult! Thus, they've aged him again and he's totally unrelatable to the imaginary kids who are just getting into Spider-Man via Brand New Day. Clearly, the only heroes they can relate to are almost-30 losers who can't hold a long-term relationship and still live with their parents.

In BND are Peter's parents still super-spies? Because that seems really unrelatable to me.
