One More Day Discussion Thread

That's because that story sucked and the 'new' Supergirl is a ****.

The word in those asterisks starts with a c, by the way.
superman's cousin from an alternate reality?
works for me.
no worse than people from the future
or people from alternate futures.
Yeah, that was her pre-Crisis origin and it's finally come back as of Infinite Crisis. But between the two Crises, they tried a bunch of different origins and none of them really stuck.

right the in between stuff was silly, but they are back on track for the moment.
and Kara is a total ****. its to bad that her origin and costume are so much better than danver's though. they should have just put more effort into developing her.

As far as cosmic punches vs deals with the devil. They both seem a little abstract. I sort of wish the writers could have come up with something else.

Something quasi-scientific would've been nice in IC's case. They at least did that much for the Crisis on Infinite Earths' massive retcon.

I don't mind the deal with the devil as a recon tool. It makes more sense for a mystical being to be able to do that type of stuff than someone punching holes in reality (did that make sense to even one person?), but if you're going to do that then there's a few rules:

1. if it's a straight up deal then the character must be evil or prone to self destruction

2. if heroic then the character must either not know he/she is dealing with the devil or must sacrifice only themselves in the arrangement

3. the devil will never straight out explain the deal in simple terms, there will be trickery and the outcome will NEVER be beneficial in any way to the character and should ultimately lead to them choosing to self destruct (suicide, murder)

I get it. It's just not very good.

If you got it you wouldn't have asked, you ******* ************* **** ****er!!!

what I was saying is tnuc is acceptable in Ireland but kcuf is not, while here most grade schoolers call me @ucker(though it's generally cause I like to sit in my house as they walk by and shoot them with my pellet gun).

I read that Natalie Portman gave Julia Roberts a necklace that said "C***" for her birthday.

If that's true, that is far more awesome than any celebrity 'news' I've heard in a long time.

So as a sequel to my last sprite comic about OMD (which was here:

To all three of those rules, why? That just limits a writer's ability to tell the story.

Given the number of cautionary tales we have regarding faustian bargains, I would think anyone who'd make one must at least be colossally stupid.
