Bah! You know as well as I the logistics of you posting for the both of them the entire time as PCs, and you wanted to pick up Bobby again anyway, ya bastige.

I will actually work up a WW post soon. I just have to think about what to write first.

If you're not cool with the slight bunny, PP, let me know and I can edit.

I'm fine with it.

This raises the question, though. What terrifies a "Man Without Fear?"

Screen Name: *points*

Character you would like to play: Oh GUESS!
Dinah Laurel Lance

Powers: Besides her sonic scream she's mastered in several forms of martial arts and boxing

Brief biography of the character's history:
So far in this RPG DInah has been a founding member of the group otherwise known as the 'JLA', however she split off her involvement after differences in opinion over SHIELD becoming the group's sponsor. She is currently separated from her former fiance, Tony Stark and on her side there is some ill-feeling about his lack of success in combating his alcoholism and his support for SHIELD as the groups sponsor.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character:
I have chosen her because, well, she's my favorite. I love her in all RPG's and it's fun to play up different aspects of her personality in a unique way.

What can you bring to this game?:
Nothing that anyone else can't.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech:
Indigo, Ariel, size 12

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG:
Probably a per-week count would be two given school More if needed *of course*

Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):

5 Paragraphs?!?!?!

FINE!

Here's some history for MB :o Also let me know if you want a fresh one ;)

“Don’t try so hard. Let it flow from you.”

A swishing sound came.

“Come on…”

The air smelled of sweat, tinged with the coppery smell of blood, specks of dust floated on the air, unseen until they passed in front of a window and turned golden. It was a large open room, the walls of it lined with work out equipment and empty mats, On a busy day there were about 6-8 men of various ages in there. Today there were upwards of 25 young men ranging from teens to middle twenties. And they all stood around the central focus of the room, a boxing ring. Within it’s bounds stood two men, an older man, his black hair touched in more than one places with silvery grey, his handsome face rugged, and despite the wrinkles still handsome. His strong build was planted firmly in the center of the ring, his arms and wrists wrapped in white tape.
In the other corner stood a man of about 22, his body was just as built as the older mans, yet he lacked the grace of combat, relying only on his power.

“Come on…” The older man motioned, daring the young man.

The young man set his jaw and stepped forward, his arm going up. The older man stepped aside effortlessly and landed a right hook, which had no effect on the young man. He shrugged the hit off and started pulling combos with his fists, the older man ducking and swaying, taking the few lucky hits but handing out more than he was getting. All the while he spoke.
“Don’t rely on strength.”

“’Float like a Butterfly, sting like a bee?’” Came a feminine voice from the doorway.

Every head in the room turned as one, as Dinah smiled at them. She had her motorcycle helmet on her hip, pressed there by her arm. Her other arm was on her hip and she smirked.

“’Ello Uncle Ted.” She said with a lilt in her voice as she walked forward.

The older man in the ring smiled and slipped out of it leaving the young man.

“Whoa.” A young man whispered near him. Ted looked at him out of the corner of his eye.

“Keep your eyes in you head and your hands to yourself.”

“Dinah!” Ted said coming towards her enveloping her in a sweaty hug. Dinah returned it.

“What’s this? Your contribution to helping the city rebuild?” she asked motioning to the group of boys and the pile of Sleeping bags in the corner.

“Them? The YMCA burned down and they needed a place so. Here I am.”

Dinah raised her eyebrow.

“Indeed. Having problems with that one?” she motioned towards the sulking young man in the ring.

“Typical things. wanna give it a go?” Ted asked seeing the gleam in Dinah’s eyes.

Dinah smiled and put her helmet down straigting up.
“Do I. And with my gloves on.” She held them up and shook them before walking through the group of young men, who parted for her as she passed. She Slipped into the ring and stood there, the young man’s face confused.

Ted leaned on the ropes.

“Watch and learn.”

“What?” The young man said

“Rob, remember. Keep the chin tucked.”

He nodded and looked at Dinah suspiciously as she stood there. Dinah looked at Ted and smiled, this was going to be so much fun. Also maybe it’ll burn off some of her anxiousness about telling Ted.

Something caught the corner of her eye and she ducked as Rob swung at her, his fists only touching her blonde hair which streamed in her wake.

She brought her leg up to kick him but felt a strong arm grab it, she looked down and saw Ted holding it, his hand holding it almost as large as her calf. She regained her balance and waited while he spoke.
“None of the kung-fu stuff. Best hit’s out of 5.” he said dropping Dinah’s leg.
Dinah dropped her leg down and suddenly felt like she had when she was 15 being trained by her Uncle Ted.

“No problem.”[/B] she said as she brought her hands up in front of her, weaving gracefully.

He swung and she brushed it aside, ducking and landing one on his jaw. Rob staggered back and wiped the blood off, he stared at the crimson color on his hands before looking at her with burning eyes.

6 minutes later it was over and Dinah slipped out of the ring untouched, while two other guys helped Rob out of the ring.

Ted, gave her a hug and grabbed her right hand.
“Need to get those gloves off you and put something on your knuckles darlin’.” Dinah started and pulled her hand away, her engagement ring hidden under her left glove.

“In..in a minute. I need to talk to you first.” she said as she looked behind her at the noise of the TV a small group of young men had just flicked on. She did a double take, it looked like there were two battles going on. Superman and Juggernaut were fighting…a giant..something…and another group were fighting someone she knew nothing about.

Ted caught her glance.
“Yeah, new group of villains and heroes, if I were 10 years younger….” he clenched his fist and looked at it.

Dinah smiled and put her black leather gloved hand over his.

If you were ten years younger, you’d be ten years younger.” she said smiling.

“Is there somewhere we can talk?”

“Sure, my office.” He said leading her in and shutting the door behind him.
“What is it Pretty bird?” he asked ruffling the hair on her head as she sat herself and he passed by her to another chair. Dinah smiled and smoothed her hair out waiting for him to sit down.

She looked down at her hands.

“What’s on your mind, love? Have a tussle with your mother again?” He asked as he leaned back with a beer and began to unwrap his hands.

“No…I just…” Dinah sighed and stood up, moving to seat herself on the couch next to him. Taking his hand she began to unwrap it while he used his free one to drink his beer. Of all the ‘Uncles’ she’d have Ted and Jay were the most father like. With Jay being the leave it to beaver dad, and Ted being the protective one who somehow made excuses if she was doing something he’d taught her. And he’d taught her almost everything she knew.

She finished unwrapping his hand and leaned back as he tackled the other one. His back turned halfway towards her as he leaned over. She took a deep breath and just blurted it out.
“I’m engaged.” She saw the movement of his shoulders stop and he slowly turned towards her, his face serious.

“What?”

Dinah quickly pulled off her gloves, revealing bruised knuckles, but also the large glittering ring on her ring finger.
“I’m engaged.” she said this time softer.

Ted grabbed her hand and inspected it before getting up and going to the cabinet and pulling out bottles of ointment and cotton balls.

“I didn’t even know you were seeing anyone. When did this happen?” He asked his back to her.

“We’ve been seeing each other for about 9 months-“ She paused as he froze.
“It happened last month.” She finished as he turned around and walked back to her. He seated himself on the sofa and took her hands, dabbing ointment on the bruises.

“Who is he?” He asked.

Dinah winced, not from the sting of the ointment but because of his question. This is where she got Jay and She knew Ted’s reaction would be worse.

“Tony Stark.” The large hand paused over her own and Dinah looked up to see Ted’s eyes.

“WHAT?!” He stood up and Dinah caught the ointment bottle as it slide off the sofa with the movement.

“Tony STARK? The Womanizing creep? Dinah how did your mother allow it? How did you not tell me?” He smashed his fist into the desk.

Dinah stood up.
“I didn’t tell you because I didn’t think it would go this far, I didn’t expect any of this.”

“Any of what

“I didn’t know I’d fall in love with him.” She answered walking over to the desk.

Ted looked at her squarely and pointed at her, his finger coming inches away from her face and right between the eyes.

“He’s a womanizing-alcoholic Dinah and you know it. You deserve better.”

“He’s not a womanizer anymore, and as for his habit, he’s working on it. He’s gotten so much better about it. He hardly touches a drink.”

“It’s an addiction Dinah, not a habit. Don’t candy-coat it. You aren’t even legal enough to drink yet.” He said dropping his hand and leaning on his desk looking down.

“I know.”

“He’s so much older than you.”

“I know.” She said again, looking at him. He was the only man she wouldn’t press with her temper.

“You’re to young, and he’s not good enough.” He said straightening up and looking at her.
“Dinah, if I didn’t know you better I’d say the bright rainbows from that ring are blinding you.”

Dinah smiled softly, that was her opening.
“But you do know me. Please, trust my judgment on this. I know I’m young, but I also know he loves me and I’m willing to take this risk.” He stared at her for a long time before moving around to her and grabbing her in a bear hug.

“ I just want you to be safe and happy.”

“I can be both with Tony.” She said patting his back and burying her face in his shoulder. She closed her eyes and let him hold her, memories of being little and sitting on his lap flooded in. She’d fallen asleep more than a few times in an embrace like this, while he’d watched Boxing on TV. Dinah smiled, the sounds of the boxing ring had been her lullaby, at least until her mom had come home and whisked her upstairs to bed.

“I have something to talk to you about as well.” he said pulling away and breaking Dinah’s trip down memory lane.

She watched him curiously as he reached across his desk. He turned, holding up a newspaper.

“What in tarnation is this about?”

Dinah gasped, at the photo of a group of heroes. Her figure apparent in the foreground and a streak in the background who could only be Jay. She swallowed and smiled sheepishly as Ted gave her a stern look.

“Jay said I could.”

___________________

“…ver forget that.” Dinah giggled as her and Ted left the office, it had been close to two hours.. Once they’d gotten over the engaged issue it had been easier since the next area they traversed had been one Ted was not only comfortable with but encouraging in. They’d sat and talked about old stories, what was the best way to catch but not kill the villain and how to make sure you always looked great in costume.

“Always have two back up costumes with you.”

Dinah smiled and brushed a strand of hair behind her. She’d been able to gloss over Ted’s direct question of is Tony knew about her.

“And now we go to the following scene in New York where a missile was launched and destroyed..here’s the footage from just moments ago.” Dinah turned along with Ted to look at the large TV screen. A Female reporter said, her voice level and devoid of emotion.

An image of a missile barreling towards New York appeared on the screen as the newscasters voice droned on in the background.
“This was the image just moments ago, a missile launched without warning, presumably by this man, or mutant.”
The screen cut to the man Dinah had seen earlier on the screen before switching back to the missile.
“The U.S. Military was unprepared as the Nuclear missile was launched from parts unknown with it’s destination New York. With Superman occupied else where the city of New York and the world in general seemed doomed to feel an atomic explosion.
However moments ago the man known to the world as Iron Man stepped in.”

Dinah gasped as she saw Tony’s armor clad figure race towards the missile. Her mind trying to tell her that this had already happened, where was he now? Where was he? Of all the stupid…

The drama on screen unfolded as the picture grew fuzzy, the camera man trying to zoom in. Dinah watched the grainy picture as Tony pushed against the Missile. The screen blacked out and the next thing that appeared was an image of Iron Man falling from the sky.

“Iron Man somehow destroyed the Missile before falling to the streets of New York.” A loud ‘Boom’ sounded from the TV as the screen showed the gold and red figure of Iron Man slam into a street of New York. The asphalt buckling around him as a crater formed from the impact.

Dinah gasped and put her hand over her mouth.
“No..” She felt Ted’s hand on her shoulder gently squeezing.
Oh, if only he know. Dinah felt the urge to run, yet her need to see where Tony was now held her back.

“…The medical units were quick to respond and we take you to live footage now.”

The camera on screen comes back shaky as the camera man runs towards the group of medics. The voices filtering in through the camera’s mics.
"We've got to get that helmet off him."

There’s some shuffling as a police officer runs up and tries to get the camera man to move back.

“Please step back sir.” The camera shows the moving asphalt as the camera man runs around to get a better view. The News anchor quiet as tension seems to set every where.

Dinah steps forward closer to the TV, fighting her way through the crowd of young men as they block her view from where she stands with Ted.

The camera steady’s and an image of medics in a circle around shiny Red and Gold armor appears again.

Dinah clutches her gloves in her hand tightly as the voices filter in.
“Please..no..please..please..no..” She whispers, praying for som many things at once.
“Please let him be alive, Don’t let them take the helmet off…”

A slight hiss is heard and then…

"Holy crap! Tony Stark's Iron Man!?"
"Oh my god!"
"Why's he smiling like that? He delirious or something?"

“No…” Dinah bolts for the door as ripples go through the crowd of young men, their surprise expressed clearly.

Dinah scoops up her helmet and places it over her head as she runs, pulling her gloves on.

“DINAH!”

Dinah pauses, her leg halfway over her motorcycle as Ted jogs out.

“Did you know?”

Dinah hesitates before seating herself and starting the motorcycle up with a rev.

“Yes…I did.” she says her helmet muffling the stressed and worried tones in her voice.

Releasing the brake the motorcycle took off, leaving a tire burn streak on the ground.

You people ***** and ***** and ***** because I never post and take forever. And then I'm finally getting excited about posting and really into the story line, and NO ONE POSTS ANYMORE. I hate all of you. ;_;

BL, I'm sorry about keeping you so long. At the moment I'm just really tired from a long day, and the changes made to the Hype have made it nigh impossible for me to write a post in less than an hour and two heart attacks, but I'll promise I'll make a Flash post soon.

Sensei, the color palate thing is fixed. :)

I'll post when I'm home from work. I'm just on lunch and too busy listening to the audio porn that is the new Metallica album

Why is everyone's sarcasm-o-meter freakin' broken, seriously?!

The colors aren't fixed for me. I had to type in the colors myself when I just now posted in Marvel and UDC.

Well what the hell. It showed up for me last night, so either I was smoking crack, or it got borked again. Sorry. -_-;; Don't listen to Shlee, she's a ******.

As if you expected anything else? I'm the biggest disappointment these threads have seen... Ever. I thought you all had figured that out by now.
