Character you would like to play: Babs Gordon aka Batgirl

Powers: Techno geekazoid. She's very smart, networked, knows her way around technology. She's also highly trained in a few different martial arts disciplines.

Brief biography of the character's history: Jim Gordon's daughter, about 19 years old. She still lives at home, but has recently graduated college. She's a librarian at the Gotham Public Library, and has been training in martial arts since a young age. She put on a pair of tights within the last couple seasons, but hasn't quite made the spash she should have by now. She used to date Peter Parker, but that relationship has ended.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: I enjoyed playing Babs in the World of Heroes, but too much background and not enough knowledge really kept me from playing her to what I think could be her full potential. Here in the OU, I can mold her a little bit different than the actual character, and really shape her history a bit differently. Not to mention I actually do have fun when I play her as a young girl/Batgirl.

What can you bring to this game?: A lot of role playing experience, and a fresh take on a character that I really, really enjoy.

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech: Century Gothic, green. And bold as Batgirl.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: As many as necessary.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards?: Yes.

Please provide a sample post with original content in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 5 paragraphs long and contain at least 3 line of dialogue):

Life had been pretty uneventful. No new love interests to speak of, as if she'd want to date some random yokel in Gotham. Besides, no one would be able to keep up with her. Not like this anyway.

A grapnel line shot from the yellow utility belt strapped tightly around her hips and easily wrapped itself around the intended balcony. Pressing a button, the black-clad woman hoisted herself up to peer into the warehouse window from an outside ledge. The glass was dirty and spotted with dust, but she could just make out the dark, moving shapes below.

'Well, this has to be it,' she thought to herself, reaching up to twist her ponytail around. A terrible nervous habit.

All too swiftly, the girl dressed in a near-perfect replica of a Batman suit crashed through the dirty warehouse window and went plummeting down to the ground, her grapnel line still securely fastened to the balcony outside.

Gunfire errupted around Barbara Gordon, but her keen green eyes narrowed and she released the belt buckle holding her line, doding just in the nick of time. One, two, three karate chops to the pressure points on the first gunman's body and he was out for the count. There were at least three more, so she kept moving, swift and nearly silent.

Luckily for the Batgirl, the warehouse was dimly lit and the smoke from the automatic guns the crooks had created a silvery haze that she could move through, practically unseen. Within a matter of moments, the rest of the gang had been dispatched, their guns piled in the center floor of the warehouse. She dragged all the men together and tied them all up in a big circle on the floor, a triumphant smirk on her face.

'The GCPD will have one less band of illegal weapons dealers to deal with, hah.'

Without a moment to lose, Babs reattached her grapnel line to her belt and, with another press of the button, drew herself out of the warehouse and back onto the outside ledge. She pulled a small cell phone out of a pocket within her utility belt and pressed one button: 9, the speed dial for 911.

"Yes, Police? I'd like to report a crime..."

Powers: Power Ring, Can Great Construct's Bound by the User's Will

Brief biography of the character's history: Harold Jordan was a test pilot, in fear of flying due to his father's death, who is pulled from a simulator to a dying alien, The alien gives him a power ring, and he is inducted into the Green Lantern Corps.

List a few reasons why you have chosen that character: He was in the First Comics i Read, and I Fell in love with the Green Lanterns, Hal Especially.

What can you bring to this game?: Fresh Blood?

Color and font you plan on using for your character's speech:Comic Sans

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: Through the week, maybe 10 times, on weekend, i'm open ended.

“Hey Guy Set Me Up”.

Guy Gardner grins as he slides down a mug to The Emerald Gladiator. "Tough Week?" chuckles Guy Gardner. Hal looks up past the Mug,

“Had to take on Three Manhunter's By Myself, Take on Sinestro TWICE! and to top it off, Go a couple of Rounds Hammond.”

Hal looks out the Bar's Window's to see the escort of One of the three Manhunter's He Fought Earlier that week.

"Well Good Riddens...."

Suddenly, The Manhunter breaks his construct Handcuffs grabbing his two lantern captors and smashing their head's in.

“Whoa!, Guy!”

"I Know, I Know! It's Go Time!". The Two Lanterns rush out of the bar.

“You charge him, I'll Take Him From the Back.”

Before Hal can successfully Fly around it, The Manhunter throws a Metal Rod at the Him. Hal Quickly create's a Shield blocking himself from the incoming Rod.

“Too Smart for it's Own Good.”

Hal rings up a giant Spiked Hammer, smashing the Manhunter, but to no avail. Hal sees Guy creating a Turret, and Gets an Idea.

“Guy!, Flamethrower!”

Hal puts a bubble around the Manhunter Encasing him within the fire.

“Turn up the Heat!”

Guy makes the flames even stronger. Hal constricts the bubble tighter and tighter. The Manhunter tries breaking out, but the bubble is a rubber texture, not construct. The Manhunter Finally gives in, falling to it's knees.

“Get this thing to it's prison cell”

"Eh, What about the Other Two" asks Guy.

“Oh I'll Find Them, And I will bring them to justice.”

Hal flies off of Oa, Back to Coast City, The Green aura of the Planet, fading as he get's farther. 2 Hours Later, Hal arrives back in Coast City, in His Regular Pilot Garb. He walks over to Ferris Aircraft .

“Hey Carol.”

Hal notices see is slightly aggravated, and avoids talking to her. He sits in his chair when he Hears something, In His Head. “You Stay away from her JORDAN!”.

“Ack”.

Hal falls to the floor trying to block out The Thought's. “ You Know she is rightfully mine!”.

“Get Out of My Head , Hammond.!”

Hal thinks about the week, and how it is an odd coincidence that all these events are occurring. “I'll be back Jordan, I will....” And at that Hal just stand's up, shakes it off , Put's His Ring to a Lantern and proclaims,

“In Brightest day, In Blackest Night, No Evil Shall Escape My Sight, Let Those who Worship Evil's Might, beware my power, Green Lantern's Light!”

Yeah, Hal should still be Parallax. The majority of the GLC, save for John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Kilowog, and a few others, was decimated by Silver Surfer and Galactus back at the end of season I. Since then, nobody has really touched the GLC. Blacklight played Kyle a few seasons ago and was starting up an arc to get Hal away from Galactus, but I'm not sure if he actually did it.

Anyway, sample looks okay. You still need to work on capitalization in your sentences, not every first letter needs to be a capital letter. If you can work on that, then you're APPROVED
