The Dark Knight Opening day bash!

You see, me and my friends know plenty of people who work for the theater nearby, and so we convince them to let us perform skits in front of Midnight showings. Since the dark knight looks to be the biggest movie of the year, and since I have plenty of viral stuff to use, we decided to take it a step further and set up stuff before the skit......but we need help.

So far, we've planned to have 3 groups(as well as appearances from Harvey Dent, Bruce Wayne, and the Joker). The citizens for Batman, who will recruit people and give them Batman masks, Joker's goons, who will be face-painted and sent on a Scavenger hunt throughout the theater, and the Harvey Dent supporters celebrating Harvey's landslide victory. The idea is to have the three groups cross paths by midnight, but the problem is we're not entirely sure how to do that.

I know this isn't help on any virals, but the posters here have more experience with them, and that's the kind of help I need. So if you would be so kind as to throw out ideas, I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks. It's going to take place in the lobby of the theater, and some of the pass-outs will be given in the line while people wait to go in.

It actually started at the midnight showing for Superman Returns, when my brother came in costume, and he worked for the theater. Since then, we've made and bought costumes for midnight showings and made mostly improvised skits for movies.

Sorry about that. It's in Lancaster, CA. Really small place that kinda needs help when it comes to hype.

One thing that came to mind is a mini-circus, with the Jokers doing clown tricks, but with an evil twist. Also, perhaps acting out scenes from the Adam West TV show with Batman and the Joker might be good, but in the theater lobby, people want to go see the movie, so passing out new swag, talking to people, and keeping the spirit of the viral marketing would be the best way to go.

NoDwarves4U had a good idea about having the GPD walk around and a group find a corrupt cop among the group, and that sounds really good to have the Citizens For Batman to do, so I'm starting to set it up a bit with help. I still have to buy lots of Face paint, and Batman masks/capes, as well as other costumes, and anything we need for the hunts, but it's coming together. I'll keep you updated.

You could have it so that the Harvey Dent supporters could set up a table or something, and have balloons and celebratory signs, plus give out buttons and stuff. Have posters up, but then maybe leave for 10-15 minutes to 'use the washroom' or something more creative. THEN, have the Joker's crew run in and do a bunch of grafetti all over the table. They can run off, and the Dent supporters can come back and get all angry.

That sounds pretty good. It could be like the Gotham girl scouts for comic-con, and they have to steal a note or something containing a new clue in the scavenger hunt.

I'm not really sure what to use for a prize for the scavenger hunts. The joker one is supposed to end with them finding a water balloon and instructions telling them to throw it at one of the Dent supporters, when they toss it at the person, it will splash with a red liquid, and the person will fake their death, and either The Citizens for Batman, The Gotham PD, or Batman himself will take the joker goons away. I was thinking maybe the corrupt cop thing ends with the CFB catching the wrong guy, and the corrupt cop sets the goons free, but that's just a thought, there's still a lot I need to figure out.

I'm trying to make the Joker Scavenger Hunt, and I'm not sure how difficult to make it. I don't want it to be easy, but it can't be too hard as well. 42e made a rather elaborate hunt at comic-con, that I'd like to use as a model, but A.) I don't have those kind of resources available(other than maybe a few clerks at the concession stand, face paint, homemade stands, etc.) and I don't have the amount of people to ensure the puzzles get solved on time. And one thing I kinda want to do is the computer partner on the phone helping out. It's getting pretty tough.

You will get a lot of phone calls on that phone and it will eat up your minutes.

Well that would work, but There will be people sleeping at my house while I'm there that I'd rather not bother with the constant sounds.

I made a message for my cell phone, which I don't answer, so it should play instantly. And minutes aren't a major problem.
