I'm not saying that this is "what they should do" in the sequel. I'm not even saying it's a good idea, I'm just going to say it and see what you guys think.

Since we know from Goyer that Joker is supposedly going to scar Harvey, and since Joker presumably already exists as of the end of Batman Begins, consider this:

Joker was "created" by Harvey Dent. Harvey's the one who threw him in the acid during some sort of fiasco with the police and etc.etc... Joker's revenge is that he scars Harvey the same way Harvey got him. This way we get the "You made me, I made you" dynamic that many people liked about B89, but it's with Harvey instead of with Joker.

Feel free to rip this idea to shreds. I'm not sold on it, It's just something that popped into my head.

and I had taco's for lunch, what's your point

just kidding

no, batman needs to be the one involved in jokers beginnings. and i dont think we need the whole 'you made me, i made you' thing again....didnt really need it the first time either....

The "I made you, you made me first" dynamic was used in B89 so they could flesh out the Batman / Joke relationship throughout the course of one film, since they had no plans on him returning for a sequel. Nolan and Goyer, however, seem intent on making The Joker's origins a mystery, so I highly doubt that Batman will be involved in The Joker's making, not do I think Dent will have anything to do with it.

I'm actually hoping for the Joker to make a small scar on Harvey's face, driving him over the edge, and then Two Face pretty much doing the rest.

hmmmmm . . . I like the idea. But yeah . . . not sure if I want the origin of Joker in the flick . . . but I also feel that it DOESN'T have to be BM that makes Joker . . . it could be 'the justice system' that unjustly created him, in general . . . .

Actually in the comics acid wasn't involved in the Jokers making, it was just a mixture of chemicals like bleach. If it had been acid he would have been burned to a crisp so I'm not sure if it should be the substance that the Joker throws on Harvey should be the same as the chemicals he falls into.

Freaky... It's scary but it's so a good idea!

It wouldn't be the same subtance. Just the same idea.

I'd have liked if they'd done that with Doom in the FF movie

but that wouldve wasted a good scene on a sh1tty movie

see, that's what I want too...

here's how I picture Harvey Dent

an extemely handsome, extremely intellegent, extremely curagous caring person...... but his downfall is he's excessive compulsive and extremely vain... he's married to a beautiful woman who he thinks loves her, but behind his back, she is only into him because of looks, and his money.....

In Batman Begins 2, he is working to end the mob rule of Gotham, taking on the mob, and possibly the penguin,

In the third film, or end of the second, the Joker would scar his face, not terribly, but enough where it tarnished his looks......

In the third film he starts to lose it slightly, this interferes with his work, since he can not concentrate, he soon is replaced as DA because of his lack effort.... he now an assistant DA, his wife becomes mad at him, and is conserding a seperation, she actually starts to flirt with Bruce, trying to seduce him, because she is nothing but a money hungry b!tch.... Harvey decides, that to get his life back on track, he needs to go under the knife to fix his scaring... he tells his wife, she seems thrilled, but for reasons Harvey doesn't know
He goes in for surgery, he is put out and the surgery begins, little does he know is that his wife has paid for a hit on Harvey, she wants him dead now, she pays some local thugs to break into the hospital and finish Harvey off,

while harvey is in surgey, his wife meets with Bruce, Bruce is of course turned off by her behavor, Harvey is a friend of his.

he tells her this

bruce "I'm flattered, but I can't do this, Harvey is my friend..."

wife "so that's what your hesitent about" she laughs "don't worry about Harvey, he doesn't have much time left"

Bruce realizes that Harvey's wife is up to something, he then remembers about Harvey going to the hospital for surgery, he rushes over there as batman to make sure nothing is happening to him,

when he arrives, he see's that the surgeon is dead, and that a group of thugs are about to kill harvey, he fights with them, Harvey is slowly coming too, he is waking up............
one of the thugs, who is about to be attacked by batman, reaches into a "chemical" container in the suregery room, it is vile of "liquid nitrogen" the thug throws it at batman, batman dodges out of the way and it breaks open right on the head of harvey's bed, spilling a good portion on to his scared side of his face (his normal side is covered up by bandages and guaze).... harvey swipes at his face, breaking chunks of flesh and muscle off his face..... he is horribly scarred now, he looks up and sees batman standing infront of him.....

he finds out that his wife paid to have him killed, he thinks she paid batman, his wife is arrested, and she commits suicide soon after....

Harvey goes insane................. Two Face is born

mm...a good story, but not how I see Harvey Dent

to me, the scarring of his face is symbolic of crime's victory over the law, rather than "tarnishing his looks" That's Victor Von Doom.

but, it could be, have it be that in the second film, he's all about batman, he beleives he is doing good, only to believe he scars him in the third film,

everything he thought was good, has turned out to be bad, his wife wanted him dead, he beleive batman scarred him, all his work from the second film has been forgotten.....

I like that bit....but it'd have to be more about Batman being a criminal than Harvey losing his looks.

well limit the looks to it just effecting his wife.... how his wife is vain, she is only into him because of his looks and money, so he goes under the knife to fix his looks FOR his wife.....

just imagine that, he does that for his wife, but his wife tries to get him killed when he does that.... that would **** up any guy.....

i also would maybe omitt him being demoted, maybe keep him as the DA, just imagine how crazy powerful he could be if he was Two-Face and the DA of Gothem....... all the havock he could cause......

Interesting, but now hot I want to see my Two-Face. If Nolan went with anything close to this (JokerNick's idea) though they would have to pick Jake Gyllenhaal over an actor like Liev Schreiber.

I want to see Harvey from TLH brought to life. The young golden boy who has made a Batman-like vow to end Gotham Organized Crime, only he vowes to do it through the legal system, however he is constantly frustrated by corrupt Gotham court system and the revolving door policy of a place like Arkham.

After the acid treatment Harvey turns to murder to bring justice back to the city, murdering mob bosses and the like hunting for the Joker for pay back. As he continues in his task he becomes even more and more insane, no longer are his killings limited to just criminals, but anyone his demented mind sees getting in the way of his crusade. Basically he is a "Ends Justifies the Mean's" Type of guy to the extreme. In his mind it is okay to rob a bank for 2 million dollars because the money will go to his mission to stop crime.

Thats more or less how I see my Two-Face.

not bad, kinda like John Travolta's character in Swordfish........ if the end's justifies the means, what's the problem?.............

I don't want him to be completely simpothetic.. I like the idea of him being two face and being the DA still..........

what about harvey dent just going nuts, and self mutalating the left side of his face..... he just rips it apart because he goes nuts

JokerNick your avatars disturbingly familiar and I'm trying to think where its from because it looks like a movie I really should see again

Not a bad story, but I don't like your characterization of Gilda. If she only married for money, she wouldn't have married a DA. They make ok money, but nothing that great.

it was a decent film in itself but was a bit of a disapointment as a remake to the greatest zombie movie of all time, running zombies just don't do it for me
