The massive shoot-out between the cons and the army at Lerner Airfield in Con Air. One of the most explosive actions scenes in a movie ever. The acting, the music everything was awesome in that scene.

so this thread will become a ''i will post my favorite action scene at the moment '' hehehe.

Basically, any action sequence involving the 3 storms in 'Big Trouble in Little China';

and the alley gang-fight preceding their introduction.

Big Trouble in Little China FTMFW :up:

I like the guy who explodes himself! :D

Thunder?

I was always partial to a bit of Lightning myself:-

Badass.

Funny how no-one ever says that Wind is their favourite of the 3 though.

They are all awesome.

I loved the fight between Wang Chi and Wind have at the end. Both jumping around having a sword fight. That is epic.

Yea I recommend the finale of Big Trouble in Little China :up:

i dressed like the electricity guy for Halloween once. my bro dressed up as Lo Pan a few Halloweens before.

I love how Carpenter turned the audiences pre-conceived attitudes on their heads; everyone expected the big, strong American guy to be the hero of the movie and that the little Chinese guy would be his sidekick - but when you analyse the movie, it was actually the other way around.

Fact is, Jack Burton was kind of a dufus; most of the time he's called into action, he f***s up, leaving Wang to fix the mess.

He came good in the end though, just when it mattered most.

'It's all in the reflexes' :woot:

Awesome;

Was this pre-Mortal Kombat or after?

I'm just imagining the amount of people who asked you why you came as Rayden? :woot:

lolz yea. The chemistry between Burton and Wang was excellent. I loved the scene where they open the door and there is loads of warriors there, Jack goes to reload his gun and he drops it. And while he is trying to get his knife out of his boot Wang just completely obliterates all of them single handedly. :hehe: Another great scene.

this was afterwards circa 2000, and yes, there were several people who asked if i was Rayden. there were only a few people that even got the movie correct...

...and i was working at Blockbuster that night.

Ha, yeah.

Not to mention when all the guys are making the big, rousing battle cry at the end, Jack shoots his gun in the air and gets knocked out cold by the falling rubble, missing the start of it all.

He also takes on Lo-Pan wearing bright red lipstick.

:woot: Awesome.

I honestly dont think many directors nowadays would've had the balls to approach the films hero dynamic the way Carpenter did.

I bet having to say ''No, actually, I'm one of the 3 storms from the movie, 'Big Trouble in Little China' '' over and over again must have got a tad tiresome.

:hehe:

Yea Burton was one of the first heroes with major faults in a film of that type. One of Kurt Russel's best roles IMO. Old school Kurt Russel was awesome.

Thats another one, the first encounter with "The Thing" in the dog pen. That was some intense **** right there! :up:

haha...a little. most people recognized me once i mentioned the movie though. they'd say "who are you?" and i'd say "Big Trouble in Little China" and they'd be look "ohhhhh!!!! yeah i see it now!"

Minority Report is filled with overlooked action sequences. I think all of its chase scenes are fantastic.

Everything in that film is fantastic. Definately one of Spielberg's best!
