Pacing: When did you realize it was very fast?

Jean's ressurection; what I find so completely stupid and unbearable is that in a movie that's supposedly grounded in reality, a man's fiance can come back from the dead (I know she didn't die but Cyclops does) after being hit by a colossal wave of water and not even be given a second thought as to how she's alive. I don't care how "in love" you are, only a complete dumbass would shrug off an apparent ressurection and immediately start making out.

That depends on how much cyclops knows shes capable of. I think he figured it had something to do with that.

I didn't feel that the impact of what Leech could do had a chance to settle in. Especially with beast. I always understood that despite his good nature he was troubled by his appearance and the difficulties it caused in social situations. I remember a scene from TAS where he was looking bat at his childhood pictures, seeing his transformation with tears in his eyes. But didn't sense that conflict here, mostly because of how rushed it was.

3. The Final Battle- Very anti-climatic, too fast paced, and not really epic or tragic enough to call it "The Last Stand".

I'm currently working on the Jean and Scott reunion scene at the lake...just fleshing out and using more emotion as if I was there on set with you know who if I were in James's shoes.

Im writing this so the scene doesn't seem as rushed as it did on the bigscreen. yeah... I'm keeping it intact though as we have seen it but just fleshing it out more and adding additional and long lines for Famke and James. lol

i must tell that when i first saw the movie and they walk into the jet, i got really sad. I couldnt believe the final battle was already there, and the only jaw-drop moment i had was the death of Xavier...i expected to drop my jaw at least about 4, 5 times...
but i realized it was going too fast when i saw Magneto rescuing Mystique, and what should be a heartbreaking moment become a 5 second emotionless and unimportant scene...

when the final battle came, when Jean started to go wacko. It felt like two seconds later Logan was struggling to get to her, and finally boom she's dead. It happened really quickly in my opinion. To mee, that told me it was majorly quick... but there were several other scenes that made me think this was going quick, i just wasn't able to really explain my reasoning on it. I just felt it all through the movie.

The balcony scene was murdered thanks to bad writting and crap direction. IT had the potential to integrate Storm in the story but it turned out to be a scene that should have been on the editing room floor.

So basically...

The entire 2 hours of the movie will be taken up with a DoD / Famke love scene...

The DVD will contain the "extended" 6 hour cut that wasn't released to theatres...

And in 6 months, the "Special Edition" will come out, with a 2nd disc that contains over 10 hours worth of "alternate cuts" and "deleted scenes"...

There was really not alot of thought put into the construction of the movie. It was just "bam bam bam" let's get this thing done, keep alot of high-octane action in and just pretend that there aren't any gigantic logic errors abound in this movie.

It was obvious all throughout, and I really don't think I can add any examples. It's that damn Fox - they just wanted their product so fast that nobody had any time to make sure it wasn't awful.

To me it was when the Danger Room scene played exactly how it played out when Hugh was on Jay Leno.

And I thought it was horribly editted when i saw it then too.

The fast pace worked for the general audience in my opinion. They seem to like action packed sequences with special effects. It seems like all of the character developing scenes that give it more depth are on the DVD, for the fans.

My impression of the scenes was that the script was constructed by putting together a list of scenes the writers would like to see. In other words, "wouldn't it be cool if..." types of scenes but not enough thought put in to tie those scenes together or arrange them in a way that makes sense for the overall plot. So you end up with quiet and alternating action scenes, scenes that jump back and forth across the country, scenes broken up into 2-3 parts with other scenes tossed in between, etc with wildly unpredictable switching between them.
