While I haven't seen this one yet, they really need to start giving us some answers. I can only take so much.

I assume that last shot is supposed to build up fan theory.

I want a traditionally shot movie that explains the story of Toby and the witches. Like if its set in the 1800's and it shows how this thing came about to begin with and how it's been passed down with each generation.

I've seen only parts 1 and 3, I'll wait and see for word of mouth to see if PA4 is worth checking out but the cute little blonde jailbait is pretty, what is she 14, 15?

doubt it, maybe a little older.

Hmm the poll isn't working for me, it says I already voted.

I thought it was decent, but definitely the weakest of the series. I think the movies are just fun, I've never been desperate to know any 'answers', but I felt like this relied on the same scares and didn't bring anything new.

I also thought that [BLACKOUT]the reveal that Wyatt was actually Hunter should have been done better, at least build up the assumption that Robbie was Hunter. The kid who played Robbie was really good, they should have had more fun with him - maybe let it turn out that he was actually Toby?[/BLACKOUT]

It was fun to see [BLACKOUT]Katie back[/BLACKOUT] in the story, though.

It was fun, I enjoyed it, I just felt it should have been punched up a bit more. It felt very formulaic this time.

It's painfully formulaic, and the last couple of seconds are unintentionally funny. Of course, the film ends on a cliffhanger -- and the post-credits scene makes no sense whatsoever.

Paramount needs to focus more on the story for PA5. And maybe actually conclude the series while they're ahead, otherwise it'll get strung along a la their Friday the 13th franchise.

or even all other franchises, like Saw.

Can someone explain whats happens post credit? I didn't stay.

Completely agree - especially about the post-credits scene. What the hell was that? It didn't connect to a thing.

I honestly thought that shot [BLACKOUT]of the witches at the end of PA3 was scarier than the mobs of them at the end of this one. You knew it was coming. The last movie? Holy ****![/BLACKOUT]

And the family this time was boring. A better twist would have been [BLACKOUT]to have the mother turn out to be part of the coven, protecting Wyatt/Hunter. [/BLACKOUT]

The best character in this movie was the boyfriend. He was hilarious.

It was more video-camera footage, apparently in Mexico, it's all in Spanish. Whoever it is with the camera turns up a store with a bunch of religious symbols, sees something and appears to run out of the store with a woman yelling at them as they leave. No idea what the hell that was.

[BLACKOUT]There's supposedly going to be a spin-off movie set in Mexico[/BLACKOUT]

He was. Maybe Paramount should try a "Jason Lives" approach for the next PA film, by making it self-aware and funny (that ended up being the best Friday the 13th film).

I don't know how you can apply the Scream approach to the 'found footage' formula, but changing up something can only be for the better. Getting a new director this time, perhaps a new writer too...

She is 15 in real life. But her and her boyfriend on this movie are very likable and funny.

Just got back from seeing it , I liked it but its not as good as PA 3 I give it a 7.5/10. It plays it too safe and it doesn't expand the franchises mythos just brings in more questions ( which is kind of a good thing). The acting is hit or miss but the two teen leads are great and are very likable ( the boyfriend was hilarious). There is more humor in this movie more than scares but I still had a good time ( the crowd I saw it with was awesome once again). The kinect thing was kinda cool but not as good as the fan camera in PA 3. While the ending is intense and creepy, it felt rushed and wasn't as good as PA 3 's ending. Also whats up with Robbie disapearing from the movie near the end? And what the hell was that random after credits scene about?

But I will give them credit this movie had many people in discussions at they were leaving the theater. My friends and a few random people stood in the parking lot for like 25 mins discussing the movie. I missed a few things because I went to the bathroom twice during the movie ( drank to much soda lol) so I might have to see it again. Slight spoiler, when Robbie and Ry are playing Kinect and they have a avatar for Toby it kinda creeped me out. It's the closest thing we have to what Toby may actually look like ( at least to the kids). Also the ending is like what the hell! And again, what was the point of the after credits scene?

For those that missed the after credits scene, I've seen it on youtube a few times. Might still be there. There really isn't much to it though.

My video review, if anyone's interested!

PA3 was the scariest overall in my opinion and this one shows that the end is nigh. The boyfriend was memorable though.

Just curious but is there an actual story to these films? I have only seen the first two but they''re not connected.

The first two are connected.

And no, they definitely shouldn't try a Jason Lives approach, turning a series like this into a 'self-aware comedy' would destroy it.

Even something like Scream which stared off as a self aware horror with satirical elements became an atrocity once they become more concerned with the humor than anything remotely resembling a horror film which off with the already weak third and went insanely over the top in the pitiful fourth.

That's the last thing I want for PA. If they aren't going to keep it pretty dark and straightforward, don't bother.

In what way were they connected? Or do I have to see the third film for more story elements?
