Comedy Parks and Recreation - Part 2

I think that's the point though Trav, they are aware it's ridiculous that's how they want it to come across. And to me they're nailing it haha.

Heh, I get the satire around it, I just don't like the execution of the future tech and the future jokes. All of the Google(Gryzzl) satire could still be pulled off with regular smartphones. If this was taking place about 15-20 years in the future, I could get more on board with it, but since its only 2 years, it's just stands out as being more ridiculous than anything to me.

All the things they are using are predicted to be less the 4 or 5 years out. So showing them as just a couple years away makes sense. For instance Amazon recently tried to get the whole drone delivery thing going last year and got shut down by the government. That was a real thing and could still find a way to get implemented in the near future.

As for the episodes they are hilarious as always. There isn't another show on TV right now that literally makes me bust out laughing multiple times during the show. The part where Leslie says who's on board and that creepy prison like pops up and says I am had me dying!

Hopefully next episode, they bust out the hoverboards, flying cars and jet packs, because ya know, it's the future!:wow:

The future stuff is meant to be ridiculous though Trav, that's why it's funny haha.

Ron better not have stolen my brisket recipe. :argh:

Damn it, why did they air only one episode?

I was wondering that, the guy at the end of the credits even said "Another Parks and Recreation starts right now, here on NBC." And then...

Guess they're trying to ration them now. They know people are watching.

That guy in the background is so impressed.

There's only thirteen episodes this season so they had to have one week of just one episode.

Amazing...

All of the children jokes, Wyatt 2018, Passive-Aggressive, and Questlove!

God another awesome episode, this season is on top of its game. So good.

I'm SO glad they brought Jennifer Barkley back. Kathryn Hahn is hilarious, imo.

Leslie drunkenly singing 867-5309 was great. I also like that Ben is running for Congress.

So, are Ron and Diane divorced now?

When Ron and Leslie were locked in their old office, no-one mentioned calling Diane to let her know that Ron wouldn't be home that night.

When Ron and Leslie were sharing photos of their kids, Ron only showed Leslie a photo of John, not his two step-daughters.

While Ron has mentioned Diane once from memory, the context didn't strictly indicate that they were together. All it indicated is that Diane mentioned John on the Grizzyl equivalent of Facebook.

Finally, Diane didn't accompany Ron to Donna and Joe's wedding and I don't remember anyone even commenting on her absence. There wasn't a spare seat beside Ron which indicates that Diane was never planning to attend, even though John and her daughters are old enough for a baby-sitter to take care of them.

I understand if Lucy Lawless wasn't available to film, but I would expect them to at least comment on Diane's absence. Gerry's wife made an appearance at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, yet Diane attended neither.
