Comedy Parks and Recreation - Part 2

So, are Ron and Diane divorced now?

When Ron and Leslie were locked in their old office, no-one mentioned calling Diane to let her know that Ron wouldn't be home that night.

When Ron and Leslie were sharing photos of their kids, Ron only showed Leslie a photo of John, not his two step-daughters.

While Ron has mentioned Diane once from memory, the context didn't strictly indicate that they were together. All it indicated is that Diane mentioned John on the Grizzyl equivalent of Facebook.

Finally, Diane didn't accompany Ron to Donna and Joe's wedding and I don't remember anyone even commenting on her absence. There wasn't a spare seat beside Ron which indicates that Diane was never planning to attend, even though John and her daughters are old enough for a baby-sitter to take care of them.

I understand if Lucy Lawless wasn't available to film, but I would expect them to at least comment on Diane's absence. Gerry's wife made an appearance at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, yet Diane attended neither.

Ron showed up at Leslie's house with a dead drone, and told how the drone company had got information about his son from Dianne's computer. He also mentioned Dianne one other time, but I can't remember exactly when it was.

I was wondering that, the guy at the end of the credits even said "Another Parks and Recreation starts right now, here on NBC." And then...
There was, it was just a re-run of the first episode.

They're not divorced. And when you're married to Ron Swanson, you're going to have to accept that there are some nights where he won't be coming home, but that you can take comfort in the fact that you can read about it in the paper tomorrow morning (Al Qaida plot foiled; New kind of red meat discovered; Man punches out tiger).

Wow you seem really hung up on this his, no they are not divorced. And as someone said Diane has been mentioned. So take a deep breath you can relax now.

Dat Questlove cameo. :awesome:

Also loved the Donna/Garry moment.

"I am truly blessed."

That summed up Garry Jerry Larry Terry Garry perfectly.

Watch the finale probably ends with someone deciding to call him Barry now.

Amy was looking good in that dress during Donna's wedding.

I love that 90-95% of the twitter comments for the article are just not having it. The article is just s***. This season has been fantastic.

Wow, 4 Swanson brothers.

I'm guessing Ron, Don, Jon and Bronn.

I didn't get a lot of the cameos...or all of them, except one.

Really enjoyed the episode anyway, especially loved Ben having to let down the accounting fellow again.

Two episodes tonight! Who knew.

I loved Andy and Ron making fun of April for liking Andy back in the day, that was hilarious.

Yay! Someone else who is as irked by Lucy Lawless' absence and the veritable non-mention of Diane as I am:

"It bothers me that we actually haven’t seen Ron’s wife Diane (Lucy Lawless), his son, or his stepdaughters this season. You’d think Ron would have brought Diane to Donna’s (Retta) wedding.* Nope.

Dinging Parks for Ron’s MIA family might be unfair. Perhaps Lawless was unavailable (Lawless recently joined the cast of WGN America’s Salem); perhaps the show couldn’t afford her (final seasons often operate with less money than usual). But I do wish Parks would creatively address her absence rather than ignoring it. I think we can all agree that things could be better if the situation were different. A significant, true part of Ron that we’ve come to care about isn’t being expressed because these key relationships aren’t represented. (What has happened to Ron this season is partial proof for the argument that last season made for a better final statement than this one.)"

So, I'm not the only crazy one! There are two of us. Otherwise, I pretty much completely disagree with the article. I've been loving this final season.

I laughed quite a bit at these, the second one especially.
