Comedy Parks and Recreation - Part 2

The only season that's out that I don't already have is season 1. I only recently watched that season on netflix.

Michael Schur says that the final season takes place in the future, but there will be call backs to the past.
Well, that's kind of a bummer. I've never been a fan when any show skips to the future. I just hope it works out.

Nick Offerman Gives the Media a Refresher Course on the Bill of Rights

Speaking at the Radio and Television Correspondents' Association Dinner Thursday night, headliner Nick Offerman—who plays anti-government government employee Ron Swanson on Parks and Recreation—took the assembled news media to school with a timely lecture on the Bill of Rights.

"I feel like we, as a country—present company included—are a little unclear these days about the first 10 amendments, so if it's alright with you, I'm going to run us through a brief Bill of Rights refresher course," he led off, before riffing on Texas's open-carry yahoos, the NSA's omnipresence, and basically everybody's misunderstanding of "censorship."

Of course, some amendments require a little more explanation than others. On guns, Offerman—an avid hunter—had this to say: "The Second Amendment is not there to protect our right to intimidate the teenage cashier at Chipotle." He also called anyone who wants to settle a dispute with firearms rather than honorable fisticuffs "nothing short of cowardly."

Amen, Ron Swanson. Class dismissed.

Somewhere in Pawnee, Donna is plotting April's death in the hopes of being Andy's second wife.

Him losing that weight is gonna be the best decision he made career wise. Good for him. Can't wait for Guardians of the Galaxy.

Very excited for Parks to come back, and excited for Chris especially with GOTG and JW. Two films I'm dying to see.

Scoop: Parks and Rec Brings Back Megan Mullally, Revives Lost 'Jammy' Plot in Season 7
By Michael Ausiello

Parks and Recreation appears to be ratcheting up the twisted relationship between Ron and his unhinged ex in its final season.

TVLine has learned that Megan Mullally is set to reprise her role as Tammy 2 in Season 7‘s second episode, which is curiously called, “Ron & Jammy.”

The title suggests that an excised “mini plotline” from Season 6, in which Ron and Diane conspire to get Jon Glaser’s Councilman Jamm and Tammy II together, will see the light of day in Season 7.

But will the now-spoken-for Ron get sucked into the “Jammy” romance, as the episode title portends?

Parks and Recreation returns to NBC’s schedule at midseason.
:awesome:

So Tammy will be Jammed next season.

Awesomeness.

I think Tammy + Jam is mutually assured destruction.

Easily my most anticipated episode of the season now.

No matter how good the episodes are, if they don't squeeze in a Tina Fey appearance this season, I'm going to consider the entire thing a complete failure.

Tina could have been the Eagleton version of Leslie.

"Could have" isn't good enough! :argh::csad:

Plus, I love Bell, so I'm glad she wasn't.

Kristen Bell was good as the Eagleton Leslie.

And the show needs to have Jane Krakowski.....and have her sing Rural Juror.

I heard somewhere I think they were trying to get Bill Murray during the series run as someone? I wonder if that will still happen? but yes Tina Fey is a must.

I love Tina Fey and would welcome her with open arms, but she is by no means needed this season. The show has been nothing short of fantastic without her.

Also, I have to agree that Kristen Bell was the better choice to represent Eagleton. She is perfect as this youthful, beautiful blonde ideal that Eagleton stands for, while Fey (also an attractive woman) wouldn't work as well as a stuck up Eagletonian.

With Leslie's role now National, she doesn't have to deal with the people of Pawnee outside of the group.

Except that she will because she wants to, because she has an insane amount of love for a town that frankly deserves to have been burnt down years ago (by the Little Sebastian memorial torch).
