Ant-Man Paul Rudd is Ant-Man

this is like the one time i'd be happy to see the Marvel Cinematic Universe impact the actual comics. i'm not talking about aging Pym, of course; he's fine as-is. i just think all of Rudd's whackiness should be adopted by the comic book character.

Do you think Ant-man could be the first Marvel movie where the hero doesn't have a shirtless scene? I mean out of Paul Rudd, and Michael Douglas, neither of them seem in superhero shape. And I'm pretty sure no one wants to see Michael Douglas shirtless

Paul just needs to get cut up, but I don't see why he wouldn't be in 'superhero' shape. I'm expecting him to be like Chris Pratt, but I can see him being toned up for sure.

I'm sure he's in decent shape but he definitely looks like the least muscular lead in any of the movies so far, other than really Ruffalo. He doesn't really need to be though.

Like you posted above Lang was pretty whacky before he died and and then his daughter died. When Cassie comes back then I think they can return Lang back to his kooky self.

I would love to see Pym and Lang interact more in the comics. The two characters could be a pretty good double act with Pym's goofy one liners and Lang's constant movie references.

Don't know about the shirtless scene, but I think Rudd will get his body toned for this movie.

those are great suggestions. I do want Scott to lighten up. and I do want to see more team-ups between the original Ant-man and his successor. you'd think that Pym would want to play a more hands-on role with the hero he has sponsored. they are different enough m.o-wise to both operate in the guise (since Pym can't really be the Wasp, anymore).

no. if there's backlash it's because some wanted Patrick Wilson to play Pym. Rudd's playing Lang.

I don't think many people thought of him for the role before he was cast, but the reactions since have been mostly positive from what I've seen.
