Him being cast puts so many 18-25 year old asses in the seats just because its him. I would have had a hard time selling this movie to my friends on concept alone, " uh yeah he's a marvel super hero who shrinks to Ant size... Come and see it." Now it's " dude it's a marvel movie with Paul Rudd, you know it's going to be awesome an hilarious, so you know you wanna go."

I'm happy to hear Paul Rudd will be Ant Man. The casting suggestion of Rashida Jones as Janet is brilliant. I hope something like that happens.

I think the flicks where he plays the straight man is probably most accurate as to how he'll portray Pym. If you saw Wanderlust that may be the most recent example.

I knew Rudd was gonna play Hank Pym all the way back at 2013's Oscars, when he was seen shmoozing with the Avengers backstage, but nobody believed me.

Nah, it's been unofficially official for quite some time now, despite Rudd trying to be dodgy in recent interviews; but it's nice to hear that it's *officially* official now. Barring some breakdown in salary negotiations, of course.

Rudd is another great addition to the MCU cast of thousands.

I just can't with this movie… Paul Rudd as Hank (hopefully!) with Edgar Wright directing from a script by both Wright and Joe Cornish.

It's like I'm in Marvel superhero movie heaven right now.

Also, I'm already inventing smush names for when Rudd shows up in Avengers and shares screentime with RDJ and Ruffalo… RoberRuffaRudd. Because I'm a sane, normal person.

But all joking aside Marvel is killing it with casting, guardians alone makes me so excited, plus AoU and now AntMan. Lets get Rashida and I'm ready.

that's not remotely true. there were a lot of people that wanted the rumors to be true. i was one of them.

wouldn't have helped Ultron or Avengers 2 much since Pym wouldn't have even been an Avenger, at that point.
