Penn is not writing Captain America. There is a note at the top of his interview with ComicMix stating that his agent said he was not attached to that project.

I hate this guy.
Petty of me, but I can't help it, especially after reading this interview.

Talking about his damned tenacity, and how he has to keep fighting because people disagree with him every step of the way.

WELL I ****ING WONDER WHY?

He must be a colossal pain in the ass and an excellent debater if he can keep sliding such steamers like he does.

What good has he ever done? And if Hulk actually turns out to be good, I'm putting that on Norton.

Who were his parents, who does he know, there really must be something to this that makes it so this guy keeps getting hired, maybe he blowing one of the Arads.

I can totally see he going the cheese route with a Captain America, if he does eventually become involved. And that he is still attached to Avengers is sickening at best, I just hope that with the team of good actors and actresses they'll have accumulated at that point, that enough input will be offered to render his script unrecognizable and he then cries himself to sleep over it, and pursues a career in dancing instead.

Well said... here is a guy giving us a lesson as to why Fox and the producers had to cheap out the fans with X-3... like we didn't already know... Penn... go find some new work already... take your ass to WB and work on cheeze fests like Flash and Lantern and JLA... look the guy did give us some decent screen plays... and I can see why Marvel would want him for Avengers (going the safe route)... but like you said... Marvel will have way too much control on that one let alone the input the actors will have and Penn have to play off of that... but Captain America is not the right project for him it just isn't.
