Many assume Dracula is the master but there are no other clues to him being that beside the setting and Mina Harker. That can say a lot or very little depending on your point of view. However unless they intend to totally reinvent the Bram Stoker tale i have my doubts of his involvement as the master. What I know of him is that he's a devil of sorts with roots that go back to Egypt. That could be Dracula if it's him in name only disregarding his translyvania roots. His links to Vlad Dracul and his son where the name originiates. Which is why I can really get behind him as a henchmen sent in to finish the job.

I hope Brona's accent improves once she's the corpse bride. I love Billie Piper but I can't for the life of me understand most of what she's saying.

Her character is supposed to be from Belfast, Northern Ireland and the accent is accurate.

I didn't realized it was the finale....
Few points :
- Ethan is a WW after all, I didn't thought he would be one.
- The vampire boss died fairly easy.
- Sir Malcome got a Luger !

I didn't really care for Brona to be honest...I only cared about vanessa, Ethan, Victor and not so much for Malcolm..he was a *****e. lol. But seeing how he saved Vanessa's life, I take back calling him a *****e...

I feel the pretty much the same way, the vampires so far don't seem as much as a threat in a fight that I feel they should be, other than them having the numbers usually. First why do they wait til night to go attack them? Is there no daylight issue with these vampires? And speaking of that, just about every time they are shown, they almost are always shown sleeping, at night, shouldn't they be active, or hunting? And yea Dorian, they really should have brought some light to what his role in everything is other than having sex, though most of us have a good idea of what the painting is that he keeps hidden and looks at, should have at least shown the audience, didn't have to be dragged out til next season, is it really that big of a game changer?

What if Dorian is the master and they have decided to change the story of Dorian around.

Whatever the vampire was going to do when he broke into the Murray house and tried to kidnap Vanessa. I think Mina said something about taking Vanessa away with her when they were in the theater, as well.

Dorian can look at his portrait. In the novel he observes his ongoing inner corruption from looking directly at it (as he has done in Penny Dreadful. Vannesa's scratches healing up completely as he approached it). It's when he finally stabs the portrait himself with the knife he killed Basil with that his body takes on all the age (about 20 years I think in the book) and the damage his debauched hedonistic lifestyle would have wrought on him.

You must be thinking of the LXG film: He couldn't look at it in that version, and was fair bit older going by Quartermain having first seen Dorian when Alan was a student.

Maybe, but I recall him looking fairly puzzled when Vanessa took off after sex. You'd think he'd be more triumphant if his plan had just succeeded.

There's got to be a reason why they didn't show us what he looks like in the painting. Unless it ties into a brand new story next year, he might just be obviously Egyptian in it. Or maybe he just looks like the two vampire "masters" we saw this season. I just don't see a reason to wait so long for a reveal if it's just that he's old and ugly

maybe they'll add a Faust component to Dorian's story.In the book its just a wish that takes on his ills.Mayybe here it can be something more sinister like a deal he struck with the devil or Amun_Ra

Just finished the first 5 episodes, I'm a huge baby so horror terrifies me but I'm loving this so far. That Eva Green episode was glorious, she really turned in a fine performance there, such great character work for TV show. Glad to see this hasn't become the huge sex everywhere, unrepentant violence for the sake of it, language just to have language, cornbally show a lot of these late night cable shows are becoming.
