Percy Jackson sequel in development

Was it me, or did it seem like this movie was in production for like..forever?

Yeah it seemed like it would never happen, I don't think it started until quite some time after the first film was released on dvd.

I enjoyed the first one. This one looks pretty good as well.

Gotta admit, this looks kinda cool. Definitely looks superior to the first one in terms of creativity.

The mother****er directing it is actually named Thor, so anything less than epic would call for his head.

But he also directed one of the diary of a wimpy kid sequels. Not even the first one, but one if its lame ass sequels.

Fillion is the only reason why this movie remotely has my attention.

Doesn't look too bad, though it's obvious Lerman is contractually obligated or something.

Could also be for the paycheck, gives him flexibility to do smaller movies.

Trailer is up, and I must say this looks pretty good. I enjoyed the first one, but was let down by what I found to be major changes from the book.

I'm glad they got the original cast back, sans Pierce Brosnan, but they got a good replacement. Nathan Fillion is freaking awesome!

Fox really squandered an opportunity for a tent pole franchise in 2010, but hopefully we can see the rest of the Olympians series made. I'm a huge fan of these books and had great fun reading them with my kids.

The books have special meaning to me because my daughter struggled with dyslexia which is the sole reason that Riordan wrote the books, because his son struggled with dyslexia and ADHD. They are fun stories for kids and give them a good insight to the classic Greek mythology stories in a fresh way.

I bought some movie from Best Buy come with $8 ticket, so I will go see a matinee sometime.

I might check out the employee screening of this at my theater, though I Might see we're the millers instead, as they'll probably be playing at the same time. I'm in no particular hurry to see either.

I'll see it although most likely on Netflix like the first one. It looks like an okay movie but it's not inspiring me to go see it as soon as it's out in the theater.

I don't like the first one, as I think it was bland and unimaginative. This one does look a bit more creatively visually, at least when it comes to showcasing the world they live in. When it's time to choose between this and we are the millers it'll probably become a argument of who I want ogle for two hours...Emma Roberts or Alex daddario? Lol.

Anyone here catch it yet? The critics are (not surprisingly) tearing it apart on rotten tomatoes. I never really look over there, but I'm sure that's on par for most movies. The audience score is much higher than the first movie though, so I might check it out tonight.

Really hoping this series can limp its way to the big gods vs. titans finale in new york. I think book 4. That one was even more fun to read than the Battle of Hogwarts if memory serves
