Transformers Peter Cullen Audition has come and gone...

Oh man, I hadn't thought about that. Mute Transformers? Oh no, that's not good.

Well Bumblebee already is rumored to be mute...supposedly, he gets his voicebox ripped out and Ratchet (if he still makes the final cut) can't repair his voicebox. So Bumblebee can only communicate through songs on the radio, until he gets his new upgrade during the 3rd Act of the film.

But new rumblings say that whole idea was tossed out recently and that BB can now talk like everyone else, but that could also just be buzz to shut up the fans.

And as of the last heard rumors, most of the Decepticons can't or won't say much through out the film. They make loud screeches, battle cries, and grunts/moans, but don't actually have true dialogue.

Beep. Beep. Beep BOP!!!..... well, that's what you're gettin'.... as far as any script review can tell at least...........

So LOVE it!!!!!!!

Megatron seems to be an ivalid until to the last act... where Bay fuses Shockwave persona's with Megatron's (not quite unfaithful,.. but nonetheless inaccurate.... by comic book continuity at least).

Flexo, lay off, I seriously don't understand why you're harrassing me. I said a line from South Park, not to make people laugh, but just to have a reply to some lame-ass comment about quitting LSD. It was a random comment meant to reply to another random comment. You are not involved, and you have no reason to be bothering me with your bizarre humor judge panel. Get a life, seriously.

And to reiterate what I said earlier, I don't care if you find me funny or not. You are the last person on the planet I would care about entertaining, so stop pretending I'm trying to "sell" you anything.

It wasn't random; zer00 was talking about using Vin Diesel as a voice actor. You didn't understand, and made a stupid South Park reference that's been done to death.

Silly me, I'd just prefer to not read garbage while going through a thread (Apologies to those that are reading this arguement.) Also, I suppose I should be beaten with a stick for using subtle humor instead of obvious things like, "OMG, u r 2 stupid!!!1!"

As for the topic; mute transformers would suck. And I really hope the Bumblebee radio idea has been cut.

Cullen for the new movie might not be the smartest move. Compared to Unicron and Galvatron in TF:TM, Cullen's performance wasn't up to snuff. Nimoy and Welles pretty much outshined him in what little voice roles they had. Go ahead and flame on, I am a die hard G1 fan but I'm keeping an open mind to this movie. We'll see if they feel that Cullen can hang with a fast paced live action version...he might not be able to keep up.

just call this movie the Go-BOts and be DONE with it.
Then the Challenge of the Go-Bot fans will be up in arms and try to do something stupid probably.

It's funny though...Hasbro has owned the Go-Bots since 1992-93.

You are entitled to your opinion...no matter how off base it is. Cullen's performance in TF: The Movie still gives me chills. As cheesey as lines like "Arise Rodimus Prime" are, he delivered them with such honesty that I can't help tearing up a bit.

The death bed scene was the best Cullen performance ever. That and him finally saying, "Megatron must be stopped...no matter the cost" and then Stan Bush's "The Touch" playing while he goes f--'n apesh--t on the Decepticons. Man, I might have to watch that tonight. :)

That scene goes down in my book as THE definitive scene that best illustrates why Gen. 1 Prime was a bot for the ages...He was badass...simply badass.

You're telling me that if you watched that for the fist time today that you'd get the same effect. I blame nostalgia for most peoples' blinders.

While I'm not totally in the "Cullen Camp" (I don't know why... I mean, I grew up on the cartoon.... I'm just a bit indifferent about the voices).... I totally understand people's feelings. To a lot of people that voice IS Prime. It's like making a Star Wars movie where James Earl Jones isn't Vader.

If a Knight Rider movie were being made tomorrow (actually it is from what I heard)... I would pretty much keel over and give up on movies altogether if William Daniels wasn't the voice. I would probably boycott the movie.

A lot of people from non-English speaking countries would disagree with you there because they watched dubbed shows when they were kids and only heard the likes of Cullen in adult-hood.

And production peeps pushing for the originals have a lot more invested in the movie than us (financially at least). ;)

No blinders here...There was A LOT wrong with Gen 1. I can admit every single fault...but...the movie is where Cullen shined. Between Orsen Welles' failing vocal chords and Leonard Nemoy's over acting, I thought Cullen sounded great. Judd Nelson was decent...and Robert Stack did a so-so job.

I saw Transformers the Movie for the first time in 2000, I think, and I also thought Cullen did a remarkable job. Just as good as the "top flight" actors they cast (many of which phoned it in for a quick buck).

So nope, no nostalgia getting in the way. Cullen did a fantastic job in the movie, as did the rest of the cast who weren't overrated big-name movie stars.

Cullen did an AMAZING job. I mean, in the movie and his return to the show...his acting is top notch.

They'll all end up sounding like Uniblab from the Jetsons.

Though the one casting choice I feel as of now that's a must is Andy Serkis as Starscream. After his Gollum stint, I think he has that scratchy, devious tone that the character needs.

Why would they do that:confused: All we can do is hope that doesnt come to pass.

Don't care if anyone believes this or not but Peter Cullen has been cast as the voice of Optimus Prime. His voice will be used in the upcoming teaser trailer and will deliver a famous Prime line. It is *NOT* recycled previous voice work from his earlier days. This dialogue came from his recent audition.

You can wait for July 4th and see/hear it for yourself.

You are talking sh-t about Murphy, but I see with my two eyes your cred is shot all to h#%. Your's and CFLush opines mean jack sh-t!

Because it's always cool to call someone out over the internet on a comic book forum.

what I'd like to know is when exactly was kaisersoze "talking sh-t about Murphy", because if he did it certainly doesn't appear in this thread.
