Marvel Films Phase Five

Anybody post this yet?

Has the 4 logo at the end too.

I went with the video title and the volume of stuff assuming some was 4 some was 5.

Also I'm assuming that's a yes it's been posted from you . . . . .

Is this going to be in Phase 5? And is Feige going to actually announce this or just let it slide in under the radar because it's essentially just using what was an original Fox property in the same format?

Is it going to be MCU adjunct like the Sony films? But Marvel Studios own Deadpool.

I’m assuming Deadpool 3, Blade, and FF will be phase 5 films.

Fantastic Four will be a phase 4 film. An official press release from Marvel.com listed it as part of phase 4.

Though it’s not clear what phase Deadpool 3 and Blade will be in. They weren’t listed on the official Marvel site press release about the company’s announcements on Disney Investor day as part of phase 4. Feige mentioned Blade as something they’re working on in the presentation and they’ll have news soon, DP3 has writers, but neither project has a confirmed director yet like FF has now. So we’ll see.

My impression is that from Black Panther 2 onwards things may be pushed back production wise which is why Marvel is working on terms with the talent now pertaining to streaming options from a contract standpoint per recent reports.

I would think these films will kick off phase 5 whenever that will be and have added streaming content for now may be how things shake out.

I reckon Fantastic Four will come out at the end of 2023 to end Phase Four and it'll be the substitute for an Avengers film. Then Phase 5 will probably start with Deadpool. If they're smart I think they should introduce the X-Men in a Disney+ show first (Call it Xavier's School for the Gifted or something), developing one member at a time in each episode, showing how they discovered their powers and coming to Charles' school. Then we can get a big X-Men teamup movie.

This us exactly what I'm expecting. Probably gonna get the Young/New Avengers in Phase 4 as well. From there we can maybe have a make up for the fact we never got Avengers vs X-Men.

So I was gonna ask in the Phase 4 thread but someone asked who's gonna start the phase 5 thread? so here I am, creating the thread for it. So phase 4 is just 2 years and phase 5 starts in 2022? So...

Black Panther 2
Captain Marvel 2
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Fantastic Four
Mutants

Won't be in ph4se but in phas5 just like Blade?
Since Feige just confirmed that phase 4 is near its end. I think its safe to assume that

Captain America: Sam Wilson
Deadpool
Thunderbolts
Shang-Chi 2

Are some of the first few films of phas5.

Blade and Fantastic 4, who knows?

Maybe F4 is the end of phase 4

We have one unannounced movie coming next November which I’m betting is Blade since we still don’t have a director for F4 nor a confirmed cast. If GotG Vol. 3 is the final film in phase 4, then Blade starting the next phase is a possibility. However, like others have said, I’d like F4 to be the end of phase 4.

As for a phase 5 film line-up, we’ll likely at least have:

Deadpool 3
X-Men
Doctor Strange 3
Shang-Chi 2
Thunderbolts
Wanda (own movie)
Eternals 2 or something with the characters
Spider-Man 4

Here's what I want to see

2024:
Captain America: Sam Wilson (1 and done)
Fantastic 4
Spider-Man: No More Home
Thunderbolts (1 and done)

2025:
Deadpool: Homecoming
X-Men
Shang-Chi and the Return of the Ten Rings
Eternals United

2026:
Doctor Strange in the Madness of Dark Dimension (final solo)
Avengers: Reassemble
Black Panther: Beyond Wakanda (final solo)
Spider-Man: Out of Home

Phase 6
2027:
Scarlet Witch (1 and done)
Captain Marvel: Brood War (final solo)
Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Blade II

2028:
Deadpooll
X-Men 2
Shang-Chi and the Fellowship of the Ten Rings (final solo)
Spider-Man: Home Again

2029:
Eternals: Last Stand (final team)
AvengersiX
Silver Surfer
Ghost Rider

All this talk about phases makes me wonder what does it even mean for movies to be part of a phase anymore? Previously they were grouped around Avengers teamup events but now the MCU has become more of a constant stream of crossovers and interconnected plot elements with no big Avengers movie to build up to, so phases feel pretty arbitrary.

I suspect that Phase 4 will pretty much be defined as "the intermediary period". Phase 5 will be when the next arc clearly starts, likely with Fantastic Four.

I preferred it when each phase had a capping event. I also preferred the event film to be the final film in the phase rather than a Spidey or Ant Man sneaking through and still being included.

This year would be pure fire for me. :hrt:

Would be interesting to see if Marvel goes with 3+Spiderman or 4+Spiderman a year; 4+S could be too much.

Well, Marvel has already set 4 dates for 2024 and those never include the Spider-Man movies because those are under Sony. So in 2024 we could see 5 movies in total.
