The official Marvel site press release has most of those announcements as part of Phase 4.I went with the video title and the volume of stuff assuming some was 4 some was 5.
Fantastic Four will be a phase 4 film. An official press release from Marvel.com listed it as part of phase 4.I’m assuming Deadpool 3, Blade, and FF will be phase 5 films.
I reckon Fantastic Four will come out at the end of 2023 to end Phase Four and it'll be the substitute for an Avengers film. Then Phase 5 will probably start with Deadpool. If they're smart I think they should introduce the X-Men in a Disney+ show first (Call it Xavier's School for the Gifted or something), developing one member at a time in each episode, showing how they discovered their powers and coming to Charles' school. Then we can get a big X-Men teamup movie.
Hmmm phase siX would be too far from now.I feel like Phase 5 will have MCU X-Men.![]()
Since Feige just confirmed that phase 4 is near its end. I think its safe to assume thatSo I was gonna ask in the Phase 4 thread but someone asked who's gonna start the phase 5 thread? so here I am, creating the thread for it. So phase 4 is just 2 years and phase 5 starts in 2022? So...
Black Panther 2
Captain Marvel 2
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Fantastic Four
Mutants
Won't be in ph4se but in phas5 just like Blade?
I'm hoping the final 2023 film is the final phase 4 film, so just like phase 3, it would have 11 films.Maybe F4 is the end of phase 4
Here's what I want to seeWe have one unannounced movie coming next November which I’m betting is Blade since we still don’t have a director for F4 nor a confirmed cast. If GotG Vol. 3 is the final film in phase 4, then Blade starting the next phase is a possibility. However, like others have said, I’d like F4 to be the end of phase 4.
As for a phase 5 film line-up, we’ll likely at least have:
Deadpool 3
X-Men
Doctor Strange 3
Shang-Chi 2
Thunderbolts
Wanda (own movie)
Eternals 2 or something with the characters
Spider-Man 4
2024:
Captain America: Sam Wilson (1 and done)
Fantastic 4
Spider-Man: No More Home
Thunderbolts (1 and done)
All this talk about phases makes me wonder what does it even mean for movies to be part of a phase anymore? Previously they were grouped around Avengers teamup events but now the MCU has become more of a constant stream of crossovers and interconnected plot elements with no big Avengers movie to build up to, so phases feel pretty arbitrary.
I preferred it when each phase had a capping event. I also preferred the event film to be the final film in the phase rather than a Spidey or Ant Man sneaking through and still being included. All this talk about phases makes me wonder what does it even mean for movies to be part of a phase anymore? This year would be pure fire for me.
Would be interesting to see if Marvel goes with 3+Spiderman or 4+Spiderman a year; 4+S could be too much.
