Marvel Films Phase Five

Fair enough...but the budget for one MCU D+ series is equalling one movie budget, though.

And when you look at most of MCU D+ series , it clearly more cinematic and less TV feels in it.
How do we know that Moon Knight cost as much as Shang-Chi? Disney don't release the budget for those shows.

The vfX alone don't look as eXpensive as a MCU movie. Then there's the costumes, sets, cinematography.

Some shots looked like it was from a movie, but then most of the time it looked like a direct to DVD movie. It was very inconsistent with Loki, The Falcon and the WinterSoldier and Hawkeye. Also watch the highway chase scene in Hawkeye. The vfX was so dodgy. WandaVision didn't look like a movie. While Ms. Marvel could pass as a low budget Marvel movie.

In the midst of all the superpowered humans, the magic-wielders, the cosmic adventures and the multiverse dimensions... will there ever be room for Punisher inside MCU? Either phase 5 or 6.
What can he bring to the table that other characters can't?

I feel like I just saw a rumor about Jon Bernthal being in Daredevil Born Again and maybe getting a TV-MA rated show on D+ a few days ago.

Nice!
I hope he also passes by in one of the two planned Avengers film. Just 1-2 scenes would perhaps be satisfying enough?

That works for me. I like when other top characters pop up in solo films. Makes it more interesting. :)

I def wonder if there's any role for War Machine in future MCU films. He's had supporting roles so far, I wonder if that might continue.

I think the Echo and Daredevil shows will start a bigger push into street level MCU with Kingpin established too. Especially as Daredevil is 18 episodes long so they have a ton of time to set a bunch of things up. I'm pretty confident they will want to involve Bernthal at some point.

He'll be in Armor Wars and maybe have a part in Ironheart, but as far as films, hopefully he is at least back for the big event films.

He's going to get his own series.
I have a feeling he's going to get more scenes in the team-ups now that Tony Stark is gone and he's the only guy in a flying metallic suit with weapons. Maybe his military connection could play in too?
He's also a Avengers veteran at this point and his previous superhero experience is going to be a strenght.

What about the team-ups. Is there any place for them there?

I'm not sure but maybe he will be one of the "leaders"? Because he's been around for so long.
Who should the next "Trinity" be?
Thor, Doctor Strange, Bruce Banner, Ant-Man and Falcon/new Cap are also veterans.
And Hawkeye hasn't retired for good, has he?

Street level teams ups sure, like Defenders tried to be.

Maybe there won’t be a trinity but certainly some future senior characters. War Machine seems to work better as a veteran but not necessarily calling the shots.

What about Avengers-level threats? Two such films are slated to come out.
Would Punisher and Daredevil show up then, in small roles?

Perhaps there won't be another Trinity like it was in the first phases.
I wonder if there won't be a new "leader" of Avengers but just a team.

The show will deal with street-level threats but nothing stopping Punisher and Daredevil helping out in the larger threats, like Black Widow and Hawkeye used to. Marvel know they make the most money when they throw pretty much everyone together lol. Sam could be strategic leader again in the way that Cap was - don't need to be too powerful for that role.

Even Moon Knight?
Could Loki show up too? I wonder how Thor will react then

My guess would be Kang Dynasty will be purely established Avengers mixed with legacy Avengers and new powerhouse characters but Secret Wars will pull in all types of characters.

The thought of having Punisher, Daredevil, Blade and Ghost Rider helping the Avengers, in one way or another, is so exciting. That's going to be a true event movie.

Yeah, makes sense. I would expect that too. Secret Wars is likely to have everyone who's available. :D

It's been mentioned before, but I am really pulling for Midnight Sons to be a thing too at some stage. The more subgroups there are, the easier it will be wield larger numbers of characters. Plus Midnight Sons is awesome. :cwink:

The questions is which ones of all these "new characters" who are going go be actual members of the Avengers at that point, instead of only helping them out.

I think the actual Avengers will be whatever the team looks like in Kang Dynasty. But in Secret Wars, they will be fighting alongside new characters, old characters, variants, etc. Whoever they can sign to do it

There seem to be a lot of prominent MCU characters who aren’t Avengers at the moment. Some will join the team but many have a lot of **** going on elsewhere too so will be interesting to find out.

I think so too. KD can be the equivalent of New Avengers being forced to get together while letting Kang go for broke. Secret Wars can be a mega MCU crossover with everyone, Avenger or not.

I think Kang Dynasty will involve the Avengers and maybe the FF as well. Especially if Doom ends up being involved and the ultimate villain of Secret Wars.
